If we let him go this could really derail the season

Great work...people are actually searching for it now.

Are we sure Sheaf would want to go to Wrexham, even if we accepted the bid? Seems like a step down, when he was probably hopeful of a step up. And he doesn't strike me as the type to be solely motivated by cash money.

I think his injuries have skewed some views, and I'm not sure Wrexham is the right move for either him or us at this point in time.

Yes he'll want to go. Lampard rates others ahead of him and Wrexham is an interesting move for him. It's cringe but a lot of players will find it tempting.

He’s not getting a step up when he can’t get in the team is he. Wrexham obviously have money and ambition, I can see why players are going there.

Completely agree.

Our mistake with Sheaf was not snapping Luton's hand off when they wanted him in their Prem season.

not to forget the falling over and feigning a foul after he's messed up!
There was a time when people treated him like a god and anything other than saying he was going straight to the PL was shouted down. Now he is fairly average in our team which shows either how much we have grown or how much he has stalled.

Well at the moment he's not first choice and I'm sure Wrexham will be offering him a fairly silly wage.

Plus they will just keep chucking money at it until they get promoted.

So yeah I can definitely see him being interested, even though 18 months or so ago he had his sights set on a PL move.

A supposedly fit team captain gets left out of the starting lineup for the start of the season. He wouldn't need to be a genius to see that he's now a squad player with us.

Couple that with Wrexham offering fat contracts and he's unlikely to turn it down.

Fancy today will be a damp squib, unlikely anything will happen that we don’t already have a whiff of.

Woolfenden in and maybe Rak-Sakyi (assume he has multiple loan options). Bassette and Sheaf out, plus maybe a youth or two.
