List of grounds that I have sat in the home end whilst Cov have been playing there
Villa - twice, once got a bit nasty
Northampton (old ground)

Man U - 3 times always in their corporate hospitality areas

On the whole if you are sensible and respectful you will be fine

I've done it at Spurs, Middlesbrough, Leeds, Reading, WBA, Birmingham, Villa and Bolton.

Depends who you are with when you go in other end. I go in the Cardiff end each time we play them with my cousins. Great banter. Loved it last time when we scored right at the end. I was the only one in the whole stand celebrating. I go in the other end against fester as 2 of my brothers support them. They also come in our end with me. Also do it when with a mate who supports the other side. Also did grimsby in the home end as that ground is the coldest I know.

For those of you who have sat in the opposing fan end before - what era are we talking? for example, did anyone do it in the 70's or 80's, when it could have got a little bit 'tasty' as Danny Dyer would say.
Ive done it twice, but am way too young for it to have been the 70's or 80's ;-) one was 1998 at Everton, last game of the season when they were close to going down. Even though I was only 14 it did feel a bit anxious, I spent the whole game doing a dodgy scouse accent. I recall going to the toilet and as I came out some bloke ran in excitedly telling me Chelsea were winning against Bolton. Fortunately I was able to respond with the one phrase I can pull off in a scouse accent 'are dey?' then legged it.
took everything I had not to jump up when Dion scored the last minute equaliser.

I was in the Trinity Road stand watching a number of City fans group up and sing LAST in the Holte at Villa (as suggested by Don Howe - idiot!). This was in standing times when fans could mob together and move about. This resulted in a very dangerous surge from behind (dangerous to our fans and theirs) as they attempted to squash and force City fans out of the front. Successful in this the City fans ran down the pitch to the rest of our fans to be greeted as heroes, whislt the Holte collectively sang "Run, run, City run, City run from the Villa". Could have been carnage and something I would definitely discourage.

It was bad enough going with your own fans in the 80's than going in with the home fans on away days
The first time i'd have done it would have been early to mid 90's. Love the banter, but you never know when an idiot is going to start. Cardiff away with their fans is my favourite. I am a fair size myself, but my cousins make me look small. Just over 6' like me but twice as wide. Never had any problems in with their fans......yet. The banter is always great. Wouldn't go there without my cousins though. Had someone start mouthing off at me last time but he was told to shut it

I went in the holte end with my dad, last game of the season in 92 when they nearly sent us down. Anyone says villa never cared about us, if you'd been there that day you'd change your mind! Think its the only time in my life I've been quiet for 2 hours... Talk more in my sleep!

went in reading end (at least think it was reading) in some weird cup game and before kick off it was noted that we were cov fans and people started to get a bit irate. got a steward to walk us down side of pitch to cov fans, whilst getting loads of abuse and spat on a few times gave there fans a few wanker signs and a bit of abuse back only to be told we couldn't go in away as to full. managed to beg our way in and was then duly followed about ten minutes later by load more cov. Lost game as well on pens

Was in with spurs fans in 97 when we had to win to stay up. Spurs supporters were cursing when we scored, managed to hold it in. But for 2nd couldn't help me self. did get some stick but they didnt turn too ugly.

Crew require customer numbers to buy tickets. You can't get issued with a new customer number until after the 2nd leg.
Think they are clamping down.

Probably the Simod Cup semi-final at Elm Park, Reading 2/3/88 ...... penalty shoot out went on till past 11pm, I didn't get back home till 2am. Still have the Telegraph press-cutting in that programme !

I was at that reading game but was very young, before the game my dad took me and my brother to Wembley for a stadium tour saying this is where will be playing the final a
Been in loads of away ends, at selhurst park for that Wimbledon game got tickets in their main stand as it was cheaper shook big rons hand at the dugout then we got took round the pitch to the rest of the cov fans. Went in the Everton end the day they needed to beat us to stay up, was very tense. Was in the Leeds end on boxing day for the crack we beat them 3-1 i think. Been in the Villa end above the cov fans when we beat them in the cup celebrated no problem. Swindon away in the cup their main stand. its never a problem as long as your sound, just like going any where really use common sense.
I will be going in the Crewe end without a doubt, as long as were not something like 4-0 up from the first leg.
i will be in the home end - you may need to go on royal mail post code finder and give yourself a local address to avoid risk of not getting one. Like most of the chaps on here have said, it wont be packed out in there end sit away from people and keep celebrations and comments to a minimum or go with a few mates so you can look after eachother (but doubt that would be needed) if you behave!

Acccording to West Midlands Police, Crewe Alexandra are threatening to eject Coventry City supporters found in the home areas of Gresty Road for the Johnstones Paint Trophy Northern Area Final.
City sold their 2,346 allocation of tickets for the game on Wednesday February 20th within three hours of going on sale and City supporters, who missed out, have taken to getting tickets in the ends for home fans.
The Police have tweeted; "Crewe are aware of some Cov fans trying to purchase tickets on the home end for 2nd leg of the JPT.
"Any Cov supporters located in the home end at Crewe will be removed/ejected. Please be warned."
