Well for one we have a permanent home. For two, due to the new laws it can’t be sold from under us. For three it provides the club with around the clock income. For four we had two years before the new EFL rules could kick us out the league.

What income? Ashley never made a penny on it a the two previous owners went bust.

We weren’t going to get kicked out Sisu proved there’s no alternative for either.

Turnover has massively increased under FG ownership

Unless it’s to sell the club I don’t see the point here. Costs loads to maintain and makes no money, that’s why it’s been a hot potato from day one.

It doesn’t need to make money. It’s a place of business. Somewhere to ply our trade.

A factory for a manufacturing company doesn’t make money, but it’s still far better to own the asset

Yes, there are overheads which will need to be factored in but we'll have full control over F&B and parking on match days, as well as perhaps some of the stadium's sponsorship - revenue which we didn't have full access to previously.

It also positions the club into a hugely attractive asset to investors which have much greater financial weight than DK, hopefully with the aspirations and means of not only just getting to the PL (or keeping us there depending on where we're at), but developing us into a competitive outfit such as Brighton, Brentford, Forest etc.

There's not a single logical argument to suggest this is a negative thing, not after what we've been through over the past 15-20 years.

It's redoing the move from Highfield Rd properly but at a much better moment for the club.

I wonder what has been purchased. Is it the entire site including casino and arena?

Looks like it is. Arena, casino, and hotel all in.
Obviously the casino and hotel are run by separate companies, but we should be now getting the rent from them.

We’ve become a landlord from being a tenant

This has been my position on owning the stadium for years?

That’s why your not a successful businessman. After all we’ve been through you really think it’s beneficial not to own our own stadium. A model that majority of football clubs follow, in your expert business mind you think they are all wrong.
