Exactly this - particularly acquiring (too expensive for most) PL quality loans. They will also reinforce their squads, especially with the silly money about and Ipswich have just earned 48m in player sales

Did he?Cost about £35m too !
Just had a look and he joined Leicester from us at about the age of 8. He's been there since 2017. All from Wikipedia so take it with a pinch of salt.Pretty sure they nabbed him from our academy a few years ago
@Skyblueweeman perhaps
Organising a conference to be held in Leicester the same week we are playing there. Sorely tempted to wear a Cov shirt through the city those few days…No, wasn't me.
I was however out yesterday for a walk near the lido in Portsmouth, with my kids, wearing last seasons black top. Ahead of me was a guy in a Sky Blue top. I thought, wouldn't it be ace if it was a Cov top. But more than likely Man City or Lazio. Anyway, I get closer to him (his kid was toddling slower than my two on bikes/scooters) so I get closer and see he's got a home shirt from about 1994 on him (I always think of Ndlovu when I see this top).
We chat in passing about the good result the day before and I'm instantly feeling better about simply meeting another Cov fan in Portsmouth. I think there's a few of us down here.
To add to this…we went down the dockyard yesterday and coming off the Boat Tour were a family, with 2 young kids dressed in full Cov kits. No, wasn't me.

We didnt, they were parked outside the training ground in a white van full of sweetsSeriously, why are we letting an 8-year-old go to one of our neighbours, is it because they just paid more money.![]()
It’s the Wrexham effectChelsea of the championship
Must be getting good views on netflix and disneyIt’s the Wrexham effect
They are welcome to him, 38 appearances in two years.
Also making plenty of money for their turnover from the Americans hence their ability to swallow the wagesMust be getting good views on netflix and disney
Really?Apologies if already posted but Wrexham closing in on signing Callum Doyle for £8m

Wrexham set to sign £8m Man City man with over 100 Championship appearances
Wrexham are poised to complete the signing of Manchester City defender Callum Doyle in a deal with up to £8million. The Red Dragons are continuing to bolster their defensive options as they adjust …talksport.com
I remember when Udinese got promoted to the Premier League by that method.Noticed Watford have done that thing again where Udinese buy a player and he's loaned to Watford with an obligation to buy. All seems dodgy af to me.
What's the fucking point of doing things correctly when you get continued piss taking from the likes of these cunts and of course in other ways the likes of Birmingham and Leicester with the go up and take the hit later approach. Really pisses me off.I remember when Udinese got promoted to the Premier League by that method.

There doesn’t seem to be much news about Gus Hamer leaving the Blades other than snippets that Leeds, Everton, PSV and Palmeiras are sniffing around.
The Blades apparently want £20 million for him, which I think is a fair price, and I’m hoping we would get a handy slice of that.
He’s said not to be actively seeking a move but if SU’s poor form continues I suspect that could change.
He also just clearly doesn’t look after himself and top flight clubs will dismiss him on that basis. One of the better European leagues outside of the big 5 is his best bet, probably the Netherlands or Turkey, but they won’t be offering Sheff Utd megabucks.I can't really see Sheffield United getting any more than what they paid us for Hamer given his age now.
Yep he screams top Turkish or top Dutch club doesn't he. As i say, can't see him going for much more than what they paid us.He also just clearly doesn’t look after himself and top flight clubs will dismiss him on that basis. As they play in white for a home kit the white bits should be a lightish blue.Really like the new Swansea third kit. Very retro. Let's get Subaru back for a one off

nobodies interested in himThere is no way Sheff Utd sell him now anyway. He is integral to everything they do and they are fucked without him not to mention their fans are already kicking off about their shite summer transfer window.

He’s incredibly talented which can cover his lack of professionalism in the ChampionshipPossibly but it didn’t stop him being the Championship Player of the Year last season. I’m not totally convinced that he is as unfit as he looks.
