He very often mis directs his pass. Surely you have noticed he has an issue with not finding a team mate with what appears to be a simple pass. Great for a few goals tho'

Of course I’ve noticed! So in that sense I don’t disagree. What he’s usually doing when this happens though is trying to be progressive / on occasions overly ambitious.

I actually think now Grimes has come in, it’s kind of unnecessary to have centre backs that are that ambitious in progressing the ball, hence I can understand a sale for the right price.

I think he’s a better footballer than he is a defender if that makes sense. And in our current system, we maybe need more of a defender and one that has a bit of pace.

I think Thomas makes a lot of bad passes that would be considered ‘complete’ by the statisticians. That’s kind of my issue with a lot of the stats used in football in general. I don’t necessarily mind is a player’s pass is incomplete if they’re trying something ambitious that would move us up the pitch but I get very pissed off work underhit/off target passes which put a teammate in trouble.

Looking at the stats , kitching doesnt excel anywhere over Thomas , who also has a better pass completion ..

I dont get and never have understood the Thomas negativity

IMO he’s a better all round player than Kitching, both much of a muchness defensively but his goal threat adds a lot for me.

Neither are worth anything like £8m

I would usually say to sell for £8m, but we are already short in this area after selling binks, we need at least 2 more in before he goes, maybe 3 to give us enough depth

A very strange & unsettling time , behind the scenes . I hope that there are quality signings/replacements in the pipeline , as by tomorrow afternoon, we could be sitting on just 1 point from our first 2 games , after looking at the kindest fixture fall , in seasons .

yeah, i mean this must be true if some random bloke on the internet said it is true

you aren't that stupid are you?

Also, learn to read as this doesn't go against what I said does it.

He’s a better attacking header than Kitching. Kitching wins the ball so much from corners but unfortunately the resulting header ends up everywhere but the goal

I think you’ll find that most of the rumours banded around are simply bollocks. 👍🏻

His tactical role under Robins was to be more of a ball playing CB that he isn’t. Under Lampard and the addition of Grimes, Thomas gets put in a lot less vulnerable positions because he nearly always has a simple pass to MVE, Kitching or Grimes.

The pass % can be misleading, because if all you’re doing to passing 5 yards to someone, it’s going to be higher than if you make more complicated passes.

As a pair, Thomas and Kitching gel well together and you can tell they’ve played together for a while now.

1 game in and 2 weeks left of the transfer window, don’t be reaching for the mattress protector just yet!

I didn't actually say that did I did.

I said I don't think Thomas is the kind of player to noy hive 100%.

If you think that mans I must know him personally etc. then wow.
