Why would our business be done? With or without Rudoni I think 2 signings would come in minimum

Would end our season right there. Won't be enough time to adequately replace him, and who could. The figure banded about of £15M is a disgrace. With his development and closeness with Frank Lampard, I would assume that will see Frank go too, or certainly put a strain on his working relationship with King.
He's the one player we do not sell this season.

I want to keep Rudoni.

However, a deal worth £25m or more and he’s gone.

It all boils down to what happens in the remainder of the month. If we sell and can bring in 3 quality additions to the tune of £20m+ then I think everyone would be happy. If we can’t then what’s the point. We’ve written the season off.

No I wouldn’t sell him to a rival championship club but everyone has their price.

Doug is a businessman first and it makes economic sense to sell high and buy to invest.

I’d also add that I feel that Rudoni hampers our formation and that without him we’d either have an extra midfielder or an extra attacker.

Like last night we were able to play a different formation without him.

Rudoni is a bloody baller tho and I’d rather have him in the side.

Why isn't our squad good enough? The same players finished 5th last season. With the addition of Rushworth we are arguably stronger.
Selling Rudoni and starting again with limited time left for us to act before the transfer window closes is a sure fire way to stop any hopes of promotion. His contract is long enough so that there is no panic need to sell, and we shouldn't do so unless he himself starts agitating for a move.

If you can reinvest £20m on a number of targets already identified which will make the squad stronger, then he goes.

If you end up with £20m you can’t spend and end up wasting it, then he should stay.

Selling Rudoni now would be a major disappointment. Key player last season and got better with every game. Unlikely to be a one season wonder with the kind of progression under Lampard. We’ve already started the season and to pull a major player (that you’ve not planned for on replacement) would have a massive impact to the season.
