The bits I've seen we look sharp. I don't get the constant Simms criticism, his movement is good.

His movement has been good, but the ball still doesn't stick when played into him.

Im looking to see if Lampard has managed to improve him during pre-season, we can't afford to pay him £25k a week to sit on the bench, and no one else is taking him off our hands, so there's a lot of improvement needed from him. So far hes making some decent runs, but could do with a goal for his confidence.

However, he definitely looks better against higher level opposition.

I'm all for fans having an opinion and putting forward their observations.

Okay there are games when any player can frustrate.

But I do find there is a section of our fans who turn up to watch Simms and Wright with rehearsed lines of criticism.

think the play offs pretty much summed it up, simms Never played a minute, he’s not going to turn into the player we need in 3 months, not his fault, just some players don’t fit in,
