ok, but sure you can count his goal in the semi as was a pen and it was after fab tav came on for lats and we went to a back 4To clarify, I said 6 goals from the wing + the winner v Wolves so it’s been credited with a goal from LW for that game as well as, Leeds, Ipswich, Southampton Plymouth, Boro and Swansea. It’s all visible on websites like Transmarkt anyway.
Having done this exercise, the only Haji goals I haven’t witnessed is his brace v PNE.
Fair enough, maintain that he is still more effective all round from the left if we're going to continue to play the same system. His goal record as CF is good but then he's scored more than one in a game from that position (Preston, Millwall, Huddersfield (a), Sunderland make up 10 (8 minus the penalties). So actually, agree with your final paragraph really!
I discounted his penalty goals anyway and he still scored more playing striker. 19 goals in total, 4 penalties and 8 were scored playing upfront and 7 LW.ok, but sure you can count his goal in the semi as was a pen and it was after fab tav came on for lats and we went to a back 4
Haji has a tendency to drift out wide and cut in even when he plays as a striker so that’s probably why Robins found a niche role for him at LW back in 23/24.
I have a good feeling that Haji and EMC will have big seasons for us. We just haven’t had a prolonged period where both EMC and Wright have been available and fully fit at the same time.
Simms and BTA as bench players can be good, we all know Simms had a shit year last year but there is a goal scorer in there. Until either of those are sold, I don’t believe we’ll sign a striker.
There are obvious gaps in the depth chart, particularly out wide and there’s no alternative for Rudoni either.
If MVE goes we can use that money to pay Man City what they want for Callum Doyle.
So what position do you think we are prioritising now? I reckon Lampard definitely wants another forward

Two good solid centre backs is better than one Callum Doyle.
Don't know why any club would want to buy Doyle for £20 million when he's experienced in only the championship??
We can probably cut a deal with a load of add ons tbf. Wouldn't rule it out if we get decent money for one or more of our players.20 million for Doyle wherever have you seen that? all I've ever seen quoted was 10 million.
Did we or was it just paper talk? If we did "offer" I suspect it was speculative rather than serious.Well we had 5 million to sign a goalkeeper, surely we could use that to buy a proper Center forward.
With the add-ons from the sales of Viktor and Gus.
Use the money from the sale of MVE for Calum Doyle and the new Centre forward and it's Premier League here we come.![]()

View attachment Genius tactics.mp4he played lw vs wolves
Wolves thought it was 3-4-1-2 but we pushed lats to rb and mve into a rw role - confused them so much their keeper had a tactical sit down
We should aim higher. If MVE goes we can use that money to pay Man City what they want for Callum Doyle.
We should aim higher.
Haaland is a decent striker. Just what we need.
Manc wanted 15 in full and 5 in add-ons. My maths says that's 20 not 10?20 million for Doyle wherever have you seen that? all I've ever seen quoted was 10 million.
£10m is way too much for us for his position on the pitch. If we're going to break our transfer record it should only be for a striker who would fire us into the Prem with Wright.20 million for Doyle wherever have you seen that? all I've ever seen quoted was 10 million.
Where have you seen they want that?Manc wanted 15 in full and 5 in add-ons. My maths says that's 20 not 10?
Anyways I would rather have two top solid centre backs for that money than 1.
Sky sports and a bunch of other news places. It was a few months back when he said he wanted to leave.Where have you seen they want that?
If you say soI discounted his penalty goals anyway and he still scored more playing striker. 19 goals in total, 4 penalties and 8 were scored playing upfront and 7 LW.
He played 6 more games at LW too and was scoring at a rate of 1 in 3 or so.
I thought the fee quoted was £10m.Sky sports and a bunch of other news places. It was a few months back when he said he wanted to leave.
It's ridiculous the price of him and yet people on here want him! You can get 2 maybe 3 good solid players for the price of him! Mental!
I thought the fee quoted was £10m.
He would be a great signing to be honest.
Even at 10 million he would be a great signing. He has potential to go for £20m+ in 12 months time.Be a great signing for between 5 and 8 million.
We're now in a position where to upgrade on starting 11 players we'd have to spend quite a bit on each player to do so. These deals take time when you aren't hunting for nobodies that no one wants. I'd snap your hand off for Doyle.I thought the fee quoted was £10m.
He would be a great signing to be honest.
3x KKH is a bit too much in anyone's wish list. We're looking for bargains that will increase in value. Doyle would have to excel all season in the Championship to go up in value at £10mSky sports and a bunch of other news places. It was a few months back when he said he wanted to leave.

Depends on what FL thinks of the likes of Binks and Raphael and others.
If you say so
" Even his goals v Sheff W and Man U, he played as a striker because we played 3-4-1-2 v Man U."
Yes he would be a brilliant signing and a true statement of intent. We're now in a position where to upgrade on starting 11 players we'd have to spend quite a bit on each player to do so. These deals take time when you aren't hunting for nobodies that no one wants. I'd snap your hand off for Doyle.
I don't even mind Kitching but if you're offering me Doyle I'm saying hook him to my veins.Yes he would be a brilliant signing and a true statement of intent.
Of course he would be a great signing. But so would most players if you spent £10m plus addons on them.I thought the fee quoted was £10m.
He would be a great signing to be honest.
Feel like we're living in a parallel universe where people on this forum are pretending Wright as been better through the middle at CCFC than he has playing off the left.
If you have moWe will get a striker and some people will be as disappointed as the Wilson fan club is about the new keeper.
Man City would probably want £10-15 million, out of our price range. If MVE goes we can use that money to pay Man City what they wa

I don't know why I entertain you because you talk some real rubbish and are constantly deflecting away from the real issue of the other forwards but if we are to play your game where watching games with your eyes is banned (as anyone with functioning ones can see Wright is better off the left), you also have to separate him playing in a 2 up top from playing through the middle in a 3 as they are completely different.Unfortunately, facts don’t care about your feelings.
The fact of the matter is that Haji Wright has scored more goals playing upfront than off the left in less games…
In fact, Haji has scored 1 goal playing off the left hand side under Lampard.
