That's one thing I've always admired about both Liam and Noel. All the critics and fans and people reading in to every minute detail about the words in a song and what they mean and where they originate from and think all this knowledge makes them sound better than everyone else down the Campbell or at a gig etc. Whereas liam and Noel both say its just a fucking song, it has no deep, meaningful lyrics. They just live in the moment and fuck what everyone else thinks. To most that makes them arrogant, but if you can't be the main character in your own life and you spend too much time worrying about what everyone else is thinking, then what's the fucking point?
and here's the same bloke interviewing Noel.
Booked 2 tickets last night for Sunday 20th (stupid prices but really want to go). If you have any tips on the parking before then, please let us know.Us aswell next Saturday-Heaton park. If you are driving let me know where you managed to park.
As others have said the Ricoh gig was really the beginning of the end and seemed a bit effortless at the time but really looking forward to them both on stage again at last instead of with the separate bands.
Seen them both separately on a few occasions after the fall out. Couldn’t really get on with the beady eye stuff but High Flying Birds have a few decent tunes.
When we were looking at the time hotels in the area were over a grand for 2 nights which was just silly. We are heading up on the Friday and staying 2 nights and managed to bag a hotel for £210 but 30 mins drive away which I don’t mind for a saving of over a grand!
The 20th is a Saturday? Have you got your dates mixed up or have you been scammed?Booked 2 tickets last night for Sunday 20th (stupid prices but really want to go). If you have any tips on the parking before then, please let us know.

Yes Sainsbury’s all gone. Some of the prices for parking etc I’ve seen for £120 at least on some side roads etc about a mile away. Think I’m going to take the gamble and park in a side road. If we get a ticket then it will still be cheaper than £120 odd and I’ll take it on the chin. Just hope it hasn’t been towed away when we get back! The 20th is a Sunday. Booked tickets from Viagogo. It is more of a tribute to Black Sabbath with the other bands involved, not sure how much singing Ozzy will be doing. I would love to be there for it, I wonder if anyone on here is going![]()
Without wanting to take this thread off track, pleasantly surprised how well he did from some of the clips I've seenI'd be amazed if he does more than a couple of songs, probably with a backing track like his last few 'live' appearances. Think the best case scenario is he's well enough to sit on his throne and watch other artists guest with his solo band and Sabbath.
tbh that is by far the better option. I haven't seen Ozzy live in years and back then he was struggling massively.

So it is. My bad. I knew they were playing 19th and 20th and just assumed it was Friday/Saturday. My apologies. Good that you managed to get parked with such short notice tooThe 20th is a Sunday. Booked tickets from Viagogo. Parking is fully booked at Sainsburys on the Sunday on YourParkingSpace.
How much did you pay, out of interest?Got 2 tickets for Heaton Park via a limited release on Ticketmaster last night![]()
£149 eachHow much did you pay, out of interest?
Been having a look on twickets for 2 tickets for me and my daughter so far no joy, seen a great stream of the first night in cardiff on you tube .the lad that did it done a great job
Christ. There’s loads on viagogo and stubhub. Others will know better than me if they’re legitimate sites but everything I’ve seen suggests they are and they guarantee the tickets. Cheapest I’ve seen is £475 for the Wednesday at Wembo. Heaton Park around £550+.
I've bought 2 tickets from Viagogo. They have the buyer guarantee as standard so if I have been scammed then at least I get my money back while having a little cry. There’s loads on viagogo and stubhub. I would never buy from viagogo or stubhub. Firstly you're supporting resale at inflated prices. These aren't people who happen to have a spare ticket, its industrial sale touting that stops the tickets ever reaching the primary market and frankly should be illegal. There’s loads on viagogo and stubhub. Just seen the record shop at Fargo has the official oasis t-shirts for sale at better prices than online or at the gigs.

But secondly seen far too many people pay a small fortune for tickets that never materialise. Sure you get your money back, eventually, but you get told to travel to the venue where it will be sorted so you still have to make a trip and arrive there to find that actually the tickets are non-existent, or even worse, fake.
Twickets don't allow resale over face value so are a bit safer. Axs and Ticketmaster do there own resales where you can be certain you won't have any problems with your ticket but they are insanely expensive and add a ton of fees and again are encouraging those companies to bypass the primary ticket market.

Ah, the old wedding in Worcestershire excuse! Not the first time I've heard that one.You can knock all you want but I’m at a wedding in Worcestershire all weekend!
Good stuff. Interesting about the parking, I'm still undecided but I'm now edging towards parking by Victoria tram stop in Manchester and taking the risk on getting the tram back, or just accepting it's an hour walk back after.Just got back. Wow! What a gig that was! Was going expecting the worst and hoping for the best and certainly got the latter! Liam was on top form-they all were!
Worked out really well for us-we went up on the Friday and stayed overnight and made the decision to get in and around the area about 9ish in the morning. Had breakfast in a cafe and parked the motor in a tucked away side street (pm if you want to know where) which was a residents zone and we took the gamble.
Good job we were there early doors as around 11am all the side roads etc were barriered off and manned. So no traffic in and out. We were expecting a ticket when we got back but had a result-no ticket! Just a couple of moaners standing outside when we returned about 10-30pm.
There are a couple of pubs also that I’d recommend-the Friendship Inn or the Woodthorpe which is right next to Heaton Park.
The Woodthorpe was a one in one out policy as it was busy but we were early and didn’t apply to us. They had Brit pop pre party and the atmosphere was good with people from all over the place. We had Chinease and Germans next to us-guess it shows the appeal of the band. They were doing a BBQ aswell which went down well.
All in all a brilliant weekend-now time to close the wallet though for the rest of the month![]()
Yep-some of our lot were of the same opinion and just had to end up walking as it was 90 minutes minimum wait for the trams etc.Good stuff.
