Fulham for MVE ?! Must be offering a decent figure. If so , its the only way we can survive as a club I guess and still hope to progress.
We still need a new centre back though and more importantly a decent striker 🙏

Deadly Dean Austin got the targets like fish in a barrel with with the Bling riches and the Lampard pull. I almost feel sorry for the competition.

Makes a lot of sense for him if he's close to family and wants to stay local :)

Love that Frank is going into proper detail showing how we play and how he plans to use them. He must be a good draw for young English lads who grew up watching him play and has shown he's good at developing young players.

Wonder how we ended up with Brad Collins from Barnsley instead of the keeper in this match? He looked a much better option...
Because Thomas, kitching and Collins between them had the best defensive record (possibly most clean sheets too?) in league one, on their way to the playoff final.

At our level, to have two very expensive players in one position would be chronically bad financial management and the recipe for an unhappy dressing room
We play 46 games.

The goal for successful teams should be 2 good players per position.

Every fan should want mve to stay and competition for starting spots. Not let's buy a slightly shitter player now for back up

Everyone wants him to stay, the realistic ones know its very unlikely to have MVE and Kesler Hayden as RB options at this level

Most young English lads would have either been too young or not even born when Lampard played ,he is 47.

I agree but it it is tough. Can you imagine King sanctioning that kind of money on a "Maybe will play" kind of player? Hopefully you are right though

agree - i am not sure we are quite at the "spending £4m on backup players" yet... not when that money could be spent better on the starting XI - e.g. CB and LB first choices

Unless we are planning on spending a bit bigger this summer and having a proper go, which could make sense as not sure how long Lampard will stick around

No one wants to get rid of MVE, he’s been a reliable player for us since he’s joined.

It’s part and parcel that our selling point as a club is that we’ll develop players and won’t stand in the way of a player who can better themselves. With specific relation to MVE, if we can triple our money and strengthen 2-3 positions, we’ve done v well.

Unless KKH is being brought in as a LB (unlikely), I can’t see how the squad accommodates both MVE and KKH.

There is some versatility there though.

It sounds like he can play down the right so potentially yes. FL may see MVE as an option there too.
If that's the case then we do need back up for Saka as well so you could be right

If he scored the winning goal to get us to the premier league you’d still find a way of hating him

That's not true at all. I think he's reasonable player, just not as good as some make out and are willing to die for. There has been undeniable evidence supporting his limitations on his own ability and towards our team, which freaks people out and sends them crazy. This is further proved by statements like your above one which are just silly really.

Realistically if there is anyone in the market for him, we should look to move him on and use that money to strengthen. I am just not sure how big his list of suitors are at this point, though. I suspect that won't be an issue for MvE however, as I imagine this signing means he will be off.
