Nevermind it wasn’t to be, lads did really well tonight

Saka, grimes, Thomas, kitching, Eccles, emc all excellent
Yeah agreed

Although I feel like it's gonna be like the end of the amazing film moneyball where everyone turns on the manager and team cos they lost the last game of the season.

That's as undeserved a result as you will see.

You can't really fault the effort, but that's an absolute sickener against a team that has offered very little over two legs of football.

Wright's been shocking since he's come back from injury, bar that one game. Awful. When he's off it, he's got no fight at all. You can't really excuse that.

We'd have won that if we had a keeper that could claim a cross or kick a football properly
We'd of won that if we had played 11 men and/or could fucking score. Complete clear out up top in the summer. Wright, Simms, BTA can all go. The middle is spot on for this league. Grimes, Rudi, Sheaf, Allen, Torp, and Eccles. I'd go as far as saying the best midfield squad in the league. It's what's ahead of them and behind them that's absolute garbage.

Lampard not happy with Wilson. Last kick, you come out and take responsibility ffs. Only fucker that can use your hands and you stay on your line.
Twice he was stuck to his line, said it before they scored. They crossed and he just stood there watching it.

Least he can go to Wembley to watch his team with his family though. The c**t.

That's us in turmoil now, we have no money from gyokeres or Hamer, we've got dumber and dumber as strikers who can't be assed half the time, and then we've got backwards sideways backwards sideways dictating our game and speed.

Over 2 games we deserve to lose weight was spinless, not a fucking chance we would have beat Sheffield United so it's saves us from that embarrassment instead we've got to listen to the mackens for 10 fucking years.

People have been saying for nearly 3 years now that King has no money, yet every transfer window we spend a fair bit. This summer will be no different

People are slating Wright and usually post heartbreak emotions cloud the judgement.

But I can honestly say Wright has been shambolic the last month of this season. He's failed to control every ball, he's lost every ball, he's been slow, lethargic.

How on earth Lampard left him on I don't think I will ever know
We have bad players. It happens, but surely for the money paid, he needs to provide so much more.

Wright miss in the 92nd was a killer really , city the better side by a long way but ultimately thats football , you dont score you always risk losing .

You'd say its a long way back for simms now under frank , even i thought he should have featured over the 2 legs .

Ah well , saved a couple hundred quid for Wembley

Tough one to take to lose it in the last minute.
God knows how pens would have gone.
Overall, a tremendous performance and easily the better team. They got on top for the last 10 of ET as we tired.

My only criticism is Wrights performance. He should have been hooked early in the 2nd half and our subs were too late. We neeed legs.

Can’t see anything other than a Sheff Utd win but you never know in one off finals

A lot of knee jerk here, take the night off.

We sacked a legend, were points above relegation and clawed the playoffs all in one season - the fact we’re here tonight is a miracle and it’s down to these players. Another night and it’s us at Wembley.

It feels terrible right now but there’s reason to be proud this year.

On another note, Sheffield United will ease to a win in that final. There’s no chance Sunderland they get dominated and keep them out

Think a striker will be top of Lampards transfer list, get whatever we can for Simms and Wright

A lot of emotions spilling out, but truth is making playoffs in the first place after our start was an achievement in itself.

Sunderland deserve it based on their start to the season - yet can't see them beating blades so hey ho.

Excited for a summer rejig - a few players showing they're not fit for it - and for another serason in the best league in the world :D
