Its not, its just not sky blue tinted lenses like you have.

We've done well to get where we are, but there are negative sides too coming to fruitition.

We were warned by a Derby fan that a lot of Lampards game is hoping on a bit of magic from individuals to make the difference. Theres a clear pattern of that happening recently. When Rudoni isn't on it, we dont really look great attacking wise.

How can you look at our results and conclude we’ve relied on individual magic. It’s like saying Robins relied on Hamer and Vik to just ‘do something’ back in 22/23… No would hold Robins to that double standard. Big players win you matches at all levels.

Sunderland setup and play that away at and the crowd will be baying for attack, those famous words of "forward and shoot" will be ringing out across the SOL

Frustrating.

It's well known that we always struggle when teams come & park the bus & then you've always got a chance of an error within you.

Fwiw, I thought Sunderland got it spot on tactically, 2 incredibly solid banks of 4 then 2 pacy strikers on the counter.

On the other hand, I think Lampard misjudged it.
I understand the idea of rewarding BTA with a start but it was absolutely not what was needed tonight.
Additionally, Grimes dropping into defence to collect & build from deep usually works but was not the move tonight imo. Sunderland didn't even engage us until we reached the halfway line & we'd effectively left Sheaf on his own vs their midfield 4 by that point. As such, we were always unlikely to create through the middle which made us very predictable as we just tossed in crosses from wide areas & the phenomenal Ballard just lapped them up.

We didn't deserve to lose the game obviously & we're still well in the tie but definitely should be kicking ourselves this evening.

just like to say to the fans who’ve slagged off simms Collins and bidwell, we picked our strlongest team and sheaf, wright and grimes went missing, big. Games need big players and ours went missing

We only need to win 1-0
I just can’t see it mate - Vociferous home support of 40k+ whilst we’re tucked away up in the gods it’s gonna be hard to get behind the lads but we’ll do our best

It’s my gut instinct that whilst we have had some fantastic away days to get to Wembley over the last few years, I think this one may be one step too far for us

Realistically, I think whoever does go on in from here has their work cut out against Sheff U in the final anyway

So you’ve got the player who scored a hatrick against them last game out on the left ? As soon as our team sheet went in we’d were done, had to be wright down the middle from the stat, sorry frank but tonight was a massive fuck up

Said from the start, if we turn up,tonight we win that , all our big players went missing, people crying out for Asante instead of simms. Made no difference, sheaf was nowhere and rudoni, we bottled it

That was so easy for them tonight, sit back and we can’t break teams down and catch us on the break, worst thing was they’re not even a good side , can we go there and get a 1-0:.? Of course we can bu we’ve bottled that tonight

I am a long way away and listened to second half on Talksport. A disappointing result but we sounded the better team so don't get too downhearted everyone and that's from a pessimist. We can only gain from now on tie.

Super proud to be a Coventry City fan. The dark days from SISU are over and we are now starting to recover from that . On my calculation we are the most successful club in last three seasons that are not Parachute payment funded. 5th,9th and 5th and lets not forgot we earnt an FA cup final spot last year.

Attendances 5th best in league and nothing we can do to match Sunderland and Leeds with capacity of CBS. We have the best atmosphere in stadium bar none I would suggest in championship .
Evidenced tonight by my wife travelling to game from Manchester, her first game at stadium since Reading in 2005/06 season. She said atmosphere was really very good .

Go for it City on Tuesday and even if its ultimately unsuccessfully this season, we are getting stronger and stronger. Just need to improve in some areas. If you ignore 'wage demands'(difficult I know) but Coventry City is a hot destination for quality players.
Definitely in my opinion, a hugely attractive club for richer investors also.

Spot on, as dissapointing as that was they’re not brilliant, might of actually done us a favour, we have to go there now and win, early goal and the Pressures back on them

Disappointing for sure but when you shoot yourself in the foot you have to accept it, move on and recover.
The mistake from MVE was uncharacteristic and one he will recover quickly from, becuase he is a very god player.
But Sunderland played well defensively, and never looked like doing anything bar a mistake from us.
Credit to Sunderland for getting away with it though, and having the good fortune of our own mistakes.

But while we bossed possesion we did little with it. Their two banks of 4 made life difficult and needed someone to open up their defensive lines, and play through them. Torp is a miss in this area. For us Sheaf was just not contributing enough, and on Tuesday I would make a change there. Asante proved to be a bad decision against a strong centre back, and Simms would have given him more concern and added ariel power on crosses. Tuesday we have to look for goals and EMC must start with Wright and Simms down the middle. A busy Allen can give Sako and Rudoni time to create. Grimes is excellent. I'm just not sure about Kitching. Would Latibeaudiere be the energy to clean up and have pace alongside Thomas and give Grimes more opportunity to stamp out their midfield?

Not over by a long shot. We got it wrong, and we have a chance to put it right. I really don't think Sunderland are tough oposition if we bring our A game.
Spot on with Torp, exactly the type of game we are missing him for. Sheaf was back to his best Saturday as it suited him being end to end, but games like tonight he’s almost given too much possession and not effective progressing the ball
