Wilson MOM loads of key saves today, vocal, I dont give a shit about his distribution he’s an old school goalkeeper. Also a lot of his aimless punts somehow found their way into a dangerous zone with Tats and BTA (when he came on).
BTA looked quality today, the ST we thought we were getting. Start him Friday.
Been missing Bobby and his dominance.
Bidwell looked so much better today.
We might have the best midfield 3 in the league, the balance, creativity, control they give us is essential.
Thought Haji could have done a bit better today but was by no means bad.
Simms needs to give more, his ball control was a lot better today but that should be basic, he needs to be more aggressive

He was great, even when he looked like he fell over Bidders it led to our goal lol. Great performance and I'd rather he kicked long decisively than fanny around and potentially bugger it up. Well done Ben, well done Frank.
Hmmm.. Frank and Ben

Maybe they could open a chain of restaurants between them

Maybe go for a 40's style American diner perhaps

Can’t believe I’m saying it but 100% start BTA if EMC isn’t fit to start on Friday. The power and pace he had bullied the defenders.

Not to mention the desire he had imo

The game set up nicely for Boro because they had a high line in the 2nd half. Nonetheless, Asante made a big impact and deserves the start v Sunderland.

I think that's a bit harsh, his finish wasn't there but he was a constant threat.

100% - Haji was class today, the intent to take players on and score was there. That 3 v 1 he passed up on without even getting a shot off will be flagged in the film sessions. A moment of v poor decision making!

I thought Simms started well today but faded after the first half BTA definitely brought the energy needed 2nd half.
Out of the 2 of Simms and Hadji Simms was much better, Wright was bloody dreadful yet again today so thankfully Rudi stepped up to fill both their boots special mention for BTS (aka BTA) too, his cameo was just what we needed.
It was a nervy affair as the game wore on but the boys came through...still buzzing yee haaaa

Re: BTA he had a great game, but it was the right conditions for him, Middlesbrough had to go for it leaving massive gaps at the back. I'm not sure he would be anywhere near as effective had the game been tighter. For that reason I wouldn't start him on Friday.

Well well well! Big call to drop Collins and the right call in the end. The perfect game-got the goal at the right time just before the break, meaning that they had to come onto us second half. They had their spell and then we picked their pocket on the break and put the game to bed. Lovely. 😊

Liked having Simms start through the middle, and then BTA to cause them problems in last half hour. Bit worried about Thomas hobbling around towards the end, hopefully not a recurrence of whatever injury he was carrying before.
