Couldn’t get in Charlotte FC’s team and got released, don’t see clubs queuing up for him tbh

I guess it depends on why he “Couldn’t get in” the team at Charlotte.

Based on his performance last season it’s unlikely to be because of a lack of skill or stamina. Could just be that his style of play didn’t align to how they were playing.

Coventry

Quoted himself here.

It's weird, why do people bullshit.

Yet he also said this Coventry kid Jamie Paterson playing for Walsall against home team

The former Caludon Castle schoolboy added: “I still live in Coventry, I drive from there every day, and all my mates are Cov fans, my family are all Coventry fans too.

“I used to go home and away every single game of my life really, until I signed as a professional. That was only three or four year ago and it’s made me even more raring to play.

And while I’m here can we just stop with the “Pato” nonsense? I’m happy for his friends and loved ones to call him that but as fans it should be Paterson - or doubtless Patterson to most.

I can understand Oggy, Bigi, Lati, maybe even Fadz and Saka as shorthand for long or difficult to spell correctly names but Bidders, Simmo and to a lesser degree Tats are just wrong. Do you not remember when Chris fucking Coleman tried to get us to call him “Cookie”? Ridiculous.
How else are nobody posters supposed to infer they hang around at Ryton and are mates with the players? Saying it outright would just be tacky and desperate.

People who don’t want him are blinded by him “rejecting” us before.

As I put in the other thread;

Proven in the league, experienced head and offers a creative option off the bench.

It’s a low risk, low cost signing and he’d be fully committed and motivated to prove a point.

Albeit the ‘Pato’ stuff isn’t ideal. Paterson isn’t even a tricky one to spell.

How do you know it’s low cost? Apparently the stumbling block is his wages and contract length so clearly not that low cost

3 syllables though. Don't really want more than two
Saka. Sheafo. Haji. Doyler. Matty. Dovin.

You're forgetting all of our double barreled names - EMC, BTA, MVE, JDS, BFC

Well let's see how much he 'loves' his hometown club now he's been training for three weeks or so with us given there aren't too many other options available to him right now.

A 6 month contract and a few bags and his Mum's cooking most nights is better than sweet FA I'd say.

Surely if he's a proper fan then he has at least two accounts on here and we've all had a row with him?

Neither was Robins but people still managed to mess that up

From CET

There was no rush to get the deal done before last night’s 11pm deadline because being unattached to any club he can sign outside the window. Lampard has spoken about his quality, fitness and “brilliant” character in the dressing room during the last three weeks while the 33-year-old has been training with his home town club, and unless someone comes in and offers him a long-term contract, it feels like it’s only going to be a matter of time before Paterson joins City on a short-term arrangement until the end of the season.

An exciting and versatile forward who can play on either flank, as an attacking midfielder or second striker, the experienced player could complete what has been a decent window for the Sky Blues who have just hit form.

What is this thing you do of randomly copying and pasting something as if it was your post?

I hope what they are saying about him being at a pretty good level still is true as i actually think we could really do with this signing now. Good cover for all across the front.

Good to replace Rudoni/Torp for twenty mins as well if we’re playing three in the middle. Allen and Eccles aren’t progressive minded enough for me in that role. All assuming he’s affordable and motivated of course.

Completely agree no brainer for me unless fl doesn’t want him next year
