our current team don't give a shit about games played years ago. they are meaningless.
we are on form, and they're not. and we've just ripped the heart out of their team.
cov win.
History would unfortunately, tell another story. Preston, how on earth do we keep losing to them
Said before, Dave Phillips confirmed what we all suspected that bogey teams put doubt into players minds, even if they have never been part of previous games.
On a positive note, we did eventually bury the Villa bogey big time.

If robins was still managing us would we have more points or less points thatn we have now after 29 games?

I think Robins was looking a little worn out this season. Possibly too much upheaval in the back room staff and weight of expectations was too great. He was walking a tightrope with all the poor performances/results and after being in management for so long, I wonder if he just got very jaded. He seems to have returned to management too soon and his Stoke team hasn’t had any new manager bounce either.

Looks like 1450 sold as of this morning. Have until tomorrow at 10am before they go off sale.

Getting a really bad feeling about this one. Big believer in streaks returning to the norm as losing teams focus more on defence and winning ones het complacent, plus Swansea seem super pissed about Grimes, plus they’re at home, plus it’s fucking Swansea.

Really hope I’m wrong but I can’t see anything other than a defeat. Will be really impressed with our character if we win this.

It kind of feels like a telling game. Do we revert back to "type" of indifferent performances or have we actually turned the corner - solid performances week in week out and winning games that on paper we should be winning.

Looks like most Swansea fans are happy to dump him off, so is it faux anger? Fans ( including us) are quick to jump up in response to selling players, so mixed messages for me.
Fwiw, my first visit to this place and both grandsons first ever away day, so hoping for a positive result.

Probably similar to when certain players leave us and they were always rubbish anyway.

It's a nice ground imo. We just are yet to win there ever in the league (I think)!

Not a chance we win this one sadly 😂 Bogey team + all the Grimes context is primed for the narrative for us to lose.

The "he left cause you're shit" chant won't make much sense when they're winning 2-0.

Swansea will be up for it. We need to Start this well and get a goal or 2 early on. The atmosphere in Swansea will then turn toxic why have we sold grimes chants

I think Strachan said there's no such thing as a hoodoo, we'll win there when we're good enough. Which you can't argue with, but I've no doubt it must have a psychological effect on both sides.

The Matt Grimes derby will end 1-1. Thomas to score from a corner.

Desperately want to keep the winning run going and closing the gap to the top 6 but think we just miss out on all 3 points. Dominate but don't score a winner

If we’re up for it, we win.

It’ll be a big test of character as they’re going to be extra motivated and come at us, plus it’ll be a riled up crowd and atmosphere.

Few weeks ago I’d have said we’d absolutely buckle, but the confidence and team unity we’ve seen recently, coupled with our momentum, means we’ll cope and even score an early goal.

0-2, Rudoni, Simms.

I'd be happy with avoiding defeat and injuries. Then destroy Leeds at home.

Then start Tavares up front against Ipswich.
