Couldn’t care less, Noel Whelan had baggage to the point where he was made to live with our manager at the time before he ended up getting himself locked up and he is lauded by our fans

This defence consists of the same players making the same errors week after week and needs a freshen up, I think Kitching should be given another chance
Is he? All I remember seeing about him was how much of a waste of money he was.

Looking like I’m definitely on my own with this. But BTA given a run out up top (which won’t happen) scores more than Bassette.
Don't know about him scoring more than Bassette but I'm with you on BTA, he's got a half decent scoring record and above all else a great work ethic, plus he seems like a good guy.

Remember when we thought we would be getting 20 million for MVE. He is decent but doesn't seem to want it this year

My take on it is our defence is so shite he has to hold back from his runs going forward. His pace saves us at least once a game. Look at the Cardiff goal. They get the ball up the other end of the pitch. Couldn't have been much more than 5 seconds and they had it in the back of the net.

Laird would be my choice, really good defensive stats this season, got pace and was really good for QPR and Swansea
Would seemingly be available as well for a decent price as not starting much this year.

If we were to sell Milan for 8 million, would offer 2 million based on transfer marks value.
Good player who I think is similar to Milan so would hopefully slot in

There is also ( currently) such a lack of basic skill and guile around him which must be frustrating

To be honest at this point in the season I’d be disappointed at anything less than 10 mil
What did he cost us? TBH I would say that 6-7 million euros probably feels right given his current form but of course I hope the Owner gets as much as he can!

We rejected £9m was it in summer so it needs to be around that figure again I would presume.

If Sheaf then goes in the summer for £5m and there’s some Vik money then Frank has some decent funds to play with.

Oh also the one I was told we were getting in on loan early in the window went tits up, they chose somewhere else

And annoyingly he's quality and we could have done with him

Ronnie Edwards that went QPR. Apparently
Any idea on what went wrong? Was it simply the players choice in the end and if so, how on earth did we lose out to QPR?

Oh gawd, I am the one who is going to ask again, how much if Vik goes for the £80M reported would we get?

I would, partly because we have to fund a replacement as we've nobody else .

Who do fans think we will be able to get in January as good ?

McFadz played the role perfectly. Well past his best in a playing capacity but always talking to and helping the more inexperienced players. We have been a shambles in defence since he left. Our defence has youth on its side but frequently they run around like headless chickens.

Amateur as fuck if we sell Milan in Jan when we are already short at RB. If King messes up this window as well I can see the 2nd half of the season turning very toxic

We won't unless it's a loan. Normally you have to pay a premium at this time of the season unless it's for a player out of contract in the summer. And we won't sell then buy for the same amount.

If Dovin holds it down consistently behind them, I'm convinced a steady head in midfield that communicates and leads can give the CBs what they need to calm the f*ck down and do their jobs.

Not opposed to an experienced head (loan), or an exceptional young leader (loan) coming in at CB but I'd rather we nail midfield and get MVE some competition before we do anything else expensive.

Think a better LB takes priority over a CB as well. Prioritise CM and RB, then LB and finally CB if there's funds and good options. Max. of four needed. Here's hoping we get on it so we can build momentum.

Is Laird that good though? He was there at Blues last season too don't forget

If MVE goes we would need at least 1 replacement for his position. Then LB and a steady ball holder DM with a good passing range that can ping a ball forward. But would love to see a McFadz replacement in the middle of defence.

Selling a player in MVE for half of what he would've gone for in the summer, leaving us with no natural RB, is not something a well run football club would do. Literally selling an asset at it's lowest value

I think it’s clear he wants to go. In that situation all you can do is maximise profit and move on.

One thing Doug is good at is negotiating a good price for selling players.

MVE head has been turned since summer and he doesn’t want to be here.
