Strangely our average gate has tracked almost exactly the average for the Championship or Division One as was from 2001/02.

The league average then was 15k and is now 21k (40%)

Our average in 2001 was 15,990 and this season is 26,873 (40.4%)

Its miles better than it was in the 90s. I used to come up for games when we were in the PL and was genuinely gobsmacked by the number of 'top 6' shirts everywhere in the city centre and barely a City shirt anywhere. Whenever I'm up for games now its amazing to see City shirts everywhere. Such a difference.

It's the same in The Craftsman where we drink. Years ago you would have all the Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal tops for the games on the tv, now the pub is full of Cov tops, long may it continue

The Prem would be a nightmare, ground would be too small, demand would see ticket prices rise dramatically, plastic fans ruining the atmosphere, getting smashed by the big billionaire clubs, VAR !

I obviously want us to get there, but I wonder if the novelty of the Premier League would wear off after half a season or so if we had a similar experience to what Ipswich or Southampton are currently having.
Be good to see some of the best players in the world and visit some bigger away grounds. but as you say, paying ridiculous prices to see us get battered most weeks with zero atmosphere must take it's toll

There were so many redundant factory sites in the 90s more centrally located, Parkside, Alvis, Jaguar Radford, Peugeot etc, like you say I can't see another relocation for a generation

I'm not sure it was that party political.

I spoke to some of the Tory councillors at the time and they were fairy honest with me that Sisu f*cked up with their judicial reviews. They went in on a principle of law. The law was absolutely on the councils side. Because of that they had no choice but to side with the Labour council.

But that doesn't mean it was right. If Sisu had made it a matter of morality, (that the ground was built using money from the taxpayers of Coventry to build a ground for our football club), then all opposition parties could've objected.

Not with the current efforts to improve the stadium. I can’t think of any other locations either. The businesses and parking in the area seems to be well established now that there are bigger crowds.

I’d like the stadium to be owned by us.

Warwick Uni has all the parking you’d need but it seems pointless going that far out of town.

We would do what 90% of all other clubs do, which is sell out almost every game.

Subject to safety considerations though.

The Football Association has outlined the process for deciding away ticket allocations at FA Cup with Budweiser ties.

A spokesman for the competition said: "FA Cup rules allow for an away allocation of up to 15% of the home stadium.

"However this is subject to the local Safety Advisory Group (SAG) agreeing to that ticket allocation number.”

As ever, the Key element is “up to”.
