I'd imagine that at least some of the targets might be very different. That's been my take on the delay in signings anyway
Yep I think it’s bollox about waiting but I do need a good answer as to the delay in any more than Mr Dasilva

I've just heard that there is no money until Vik is sold and the Executive Chairman isn't willing to front anything up while the sale goes through

Like I said on another thread, this makes no sense at all as it implies that if Vik is not sold for whatever reason, we would be buying no players at all in this window.

That statement is likely true though isn't it? Our whole transfer strategy is based on selling him for a big fee.
Which means we’re in for an excellent transfer window next season

to an extent he is correct
if we didnt sell Vik, there would be players incoming, but they would be very different players

so of course we would do business but would be only loans and free transfers / minimal fees
The Vik money gives us much more strength in the window

I am not an itk as such but the above is correct

You’ve heard that or it’s correct in that it seems obvious to you?

That would seem to suggest that King only bought the club because there was a 20m asset to sell. And if that's true we are indeed fucked.

As bad as it sounds you wouldn’t try and scrape a few million together if you thought you’d get 20 million in a few days.

The are also frees and 'frees'. Some have a big signing off fees attached. Maybe those targets are different too...

Dunno what is so hard for people to understand?

We need to wait for the money from the sale of Vik to know what our budget is. Doesn't mean there wouldn't be a budget if the sale collapsed though. It would be considerably smaller yes but there will be a budget for every scenario.

Absolutely no point making filler buys now when we could pool the total budget and buy some quality a little later in the window. It will come together, I'm 100% sure of it.

So if Gyokores isn't sold, we can't sign permanent players then ?
