Yeah look at the related stories at the bottom

From the ever-reliable (!) Wikipedia:

The Association of British Bookmakers investigated "suspicious betting patterns" on a red card being shown to Jennings for dissent during a game in December 2010.[3] Jennings was arrested, along with eight other men, on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud in October 2011.[4] A week later, his club confirmed that he would continue to be available for first-team selection.[5] Merseyside Police advised Jennings in April 2012 that their inquiries had ceased and that no further action would be taken.[6] His solicitor said that Jennings felt vindicated in believing that there had been no criminal activity.[6] After the police ended their investigation, Motherwell manager Stuart McCall criticised unnamed Scottish football officials who had suggested that Jennings should have been suspended while under suspicion.[7]

Just been talking to my eldest son. He is pissed off he is leaving Motherwell. My son has been a season tiket holder for years with Motherwell. They have just had their best season for years and Jennings is one of the reasons why.

He says he is not tall, but always gives 100% and is never scared to put the boot in. Loves taking shots from long range as he has a good right foot on him. Motherwell have scored a fair few from the rebounds. He is a CM who likes going forward and starting off attacks and has a good cross on him. Motherwell are in Europe this coming year and he would be choosing us over playing in Europe

Great news,we need more to cover deegan and Thomas

Also a free so could be a goer

Cov must be a good prospect somewhat as a big team in a division they are expected to challenge for promotion, players might see it as a good year to join

I'm sure he does love taking shots from long range, but with a record of 8 goals in 244 games that's like my saying I've got dexterous hands so I love having a go at brain surgery.

In other words if he scores it will be from 30 yards. Son has been on phone to his mates in Glasgow. They are all unhappy he is leaving them. Says a much better signing than Fleck. We would have someone to run the midfield.

Just asked son about his scoring rate. He says he don't have many shots, but when he does it is normally a good shot. He prefers to start attacks and set other players up.

Better known as a 'creative midfielder' such as Baker Bell Macca. We need a Doyle type player IMO. Someone to sit deep and break up attacks. Hopefully this lad gets stuck in. Sounds positive though

Must admit - a michael doyle type player is what springs to mind. Which to be honest is not a bad thing in this league!

He does get stuck in. That is the biggest and best part of his game. He then starts off attacks. Son joins the Army in 2 weeks. Will be joining me to Cov games when he can.

well, that would be the midfield dynamo we are missing..

Colleague is a Hibs fan and said "jennings is more than useful"

Get Jennings, keep hold of Keogh and loan a CF from the prem...

Cost cutting galore, wage bill trimmed, bigi sold, but 5 new players in and plenty of money saved, helping reduce the overheads..

We might just look to push the top 6...:claping hands:

Someone said he's "not the tallest"... just what we need, another short ass, but hey ho it's better than raiding the U14's for players

Not what his plans were though. Last year he got in the RAF after a long selection process. A month before he was due to join he packed his job in so he could visit family and friends before joining. About a week later he got a phonecall telling him his place was no longer being offered to him because of the cuts. They were taking on 10 people, but because of the cuts they could only take on 5. They told him he was 6th on the list and if anyone pulled out he would still be in :jerkit: So he was left without a career and without a job :( I then told him to leave Glasgow and move back in with us. After a bit he started the process for the Army. Swore his allegience to the Queen last week. Could only get part time work so he has lived rent free since coming here. He is a big lad so our food bill will nearly half soon :)

Asked lad how tall he is. Lad put his hand up to his eye level and said he is that tall. My lad is 6'2" like me :) So he is not tall, but not a shortass either. Says he knows Rooney and is a relative with a player either at Everton or Liverpool, not sure which though. Tough tackling midfielders do not need to be tall. Look at Wise

Now a straight toss up as to whether to believe those people who have spoken directly to people who have seen him play a bit and are positive or to go with those people who Googled his goals to game ratio and are making a snap negative judgement on that... I will go with the latter and decide that, if he is any good, we won't get him. That did the trick for Fleck.

That makes sense. From what I remember, Rooneys dad or uncle was implicated in that betting scandal too?

Personally, sounds promising. If he's strong and gets stuck in I don't give a crap if he's shorter (doesn't sound like he's that short anyway)!

We're going mad for the SPL this window. If he played for the Mighty 'Well, he can't be bad.

He's 5ft 7.

We could be on for the shortest team in the league award. At least Kilbane is a 6fter

As for his history with the betting scandal.. I'm sure that won't be a problem wiht the fans... One name: Marlon King.

Lad just spoke to someone else in Glasgow. He is 5'7" but of solid build. Word has got round he is joining us  Sounds like a choice between us and Aberdeen. Born in Liverpool, started off at Everton. Moved to Tranmere then Motherwell. Wants to move back to England.

Yeah, let's concentrate on that when he was cleared of it anyway. Obvously, "proven innocent" doesn't count.
