And yet Biden won more votes. And is popular with voters:Why Biden’s Lead Is Safer Than Clinton’s

This is Starmer and Corbyn all over again. You can say it’s not true all you like but all the evidence points to voters preferring what the base see as “boring” or “meh”.

And yet Biden’s campaign was dead until the powers that be got Buttigieg and Klobuchar to drop out at the last minute and support him, while keeping Warren in it. Biden did jack shit and is still doing jack shit which is also what he’ll do if he wins.

The more Biden says the less people like him-his own staff understood that

I stand to be proven wrong but I just can’t see it. No insurgent factor. No general fuck competence mood. No weirdly disliked opponent. Economy in the shitter. COVID response disaster. Now being ill. Shitshow debate performances.

The Clinton polls weren’t that far out and never got close to predicting the sort of result they are for Biden. I think a lot of far left and far right types online are very loud about Biden because he’s not Sanders/Trump and because they don’t understand the differences in polling, but in the real world he’s absolutely destroying him.
"weirdly disliked" really?

the hacked Podesta e-mail of the two staffers discussing Catholics in the Conservative movement brought about a huge swing in the Catholic vote from Clinton to Trump. It won him a few states.
It looks like the Catholic vote is fairly split at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised if with either camp had a damaging revelation up their sleeve to swing the Catholic vote again - Trump made a girlfriend have an abortion, Biden is really a Buddhist - some shit like that.

And that's the problem. People don't always vote sensibly. It's also assuming all those that poll for Biden actually go out and vote when it matters. Apathy is far more dangerous to Biden. You can sy who you intend to vote for as much as you like but if you don't actually then do it it means nothing.

Clinton was a long way ahead in the polls last time and her rallies took on more of a victory lap yet still lost the presidency despite winning the popular vote. A few days before the election FBI released the info about the investigation and that itself may have been enough to swing it. You'd hope that lessons had been learned and that complacency won't be there this time.

Far too long to go for someone to throw something in from left field that might alter perceptions and who gets their vote.

you're right. He's badly let down parts of the rust belt, not delivered on one promise and overseen the economy of those areas deteriorate more than it did under Obama - but it seems they're still going to vote for him.

But that doesn't matter the political demographics of the USA have realigned. The Rust Belt states don't really matter in who wins the US election anymore.

In the "battleground" states Biden is way ahead. Trump has tanked with the independent voters and you can't win them as all you have is your base then.

Biden is 7 points clear in places Pennsylvania, Almost 5 points up in florida and many more. Even Texas is a toss up now.

People act like Trump won in a Landslide in 2016 when in reality if less than 100k hand of voted differently in a country of 100 million clinton is president.

The Catholic vote I mentioned swung Pennsylvania last time, maybe it's sticking with Democrat this time around.
Texas has I think 10 of the fastest growing cities in America, which generally indicates swelled by immigrants or 2nd/3rd generation immigrants and traditionally Democrat voters.

I was told a couple of years ago that in 20 years Texas would be a strong Democrat state - perhaps it's happening early?

As with all surveys you have to bear in mind the flaws with the methods, however probably not much of a surprise that the people most likely to want Trump to win are those lovable Conservative Brexit types

That 13% for Trump in the overall figure must surely be a low in a 2 horse race.

I really want to meet these Trumpist Brexiter Lib Dem’s that appear in every poll.

(I know the 5% answers are statistical noise, let me have this)

I think Trump is digging his own grave by all this covid nonsense,Not a fan of Biden but he doesn’t need to do anything.
Trump is winning it for him.
Cannot believe how orange he looked on the news last night,I wonder if it’s anything to do with the cocktail of drugs he’s taken?

In Pennsylvania if you can win Philly and Pittsburgh by enough it will cancel out the more conservative rural areas.

Texas has a massive booming (legal before any racists jump in) latino population who will largely vote Democrat every time. Which is interesting as a large part of them are very religious and socially conservative so look like they should be republican voters but if you spend a generation demonising people they are not going to vote for you.

Harris the vp for Biden is a proper socialist, yes or no? overnight what’s pelosi done? Bringing up the 25th amendment. not rocket science to see what’s happening. Even Harris calls it the Harris biden team.

You are delightfully insane.

Biden has the most ridiculous poll lead. Your boy is going back to attacking Hillary with “buttery males” again because he can’t land a glove.

Biden is double figures ahead in states Trump won in 2016. So Biden the very moderate Democrat with a very moderate platform and his very moderate former prosecutor VP candidate are wiping the flaw with trump.

I'd stick to the posting videos of Asian lads if I was you mate.

Ok. Now Nancy Pelosi is part of this ‘far-left’ bogeyman team. Give me strength.
