Just out of Interest. To those who have bought season tickets. Is there any circumstances in which you would not have done it.

Only if my wife threatened to divorce me.

Crap owners and crap football wouldn't stop me from getting a season ticket.

So only reason I can think of that i wouldn't renew is, family reasons or not being able to afford it. ( not that they cost anything much at all though)

Got to agree with this...it's about supporting the badge and the club...and all of the history which has gone before.

One fact we need to realise is that after these pricks have gone, and so have the likes of Bell and McSheffrey, we the fans and CCFC will still be here.

Exactly, this kind of thread has no place on an anti-SISU forum like SBT. Could we not have a sub-forum for this kind of CCFC nonsense.

Congratulations. Why is this news?

Maybe torch, SBT is not anti anyone. It is a forum which reflects the views and opinions of the fans.

Just because the majority of fans are not happy with sisu. Does not make SBT an anti sisu forum.

I can't recall signing any anti SISU terms and conditions when I signed up.

Must be something to do with the general feelings of the majority that gives you that impression.

To be fair when your opinion is in the minority I can see why you would feel like that.

Some fans think season tickets are irrelevant to SISU.

Other think by buying them you are sending a signal to SISU that they are right in what they are doing. Others think you are lining SISU's pockets.

Personally I can't buy a season ticket because of work.

I do think it is one of the views cards you have to play as a fan. I am of the opinion that if you are going to buy one that you should wait till the last second. In which it would not have cost you more money in this case the 30th June.

If the 5000 had done this IMO I think the club would have needed to induce you. The only way they could have done that. Would've been submit books sign some players.

Instead I believe they take advantage of the loyalty and fantastic support offered by some people. They take it for granted. Allowing them to attempt these hardball tactics.

Just an opinion.

Conspiracy a go-go. Buying a season ticket just shows your support for the club. Nothing more. The same as thousands of other fans throughout the country.

We who haven't bought season tickets are better fans as over a season we pump more wedge into the club, in fact anyone who has bought a ticket is a tight fisted git !!

Torchy - I started going to watch City in the late 60's and would have agreed with your comments in every close season since, up to now.

We've had some great Boards (the years of DR) , some poor ones and some very poor ones - but I'm concerned that for the first time we have a Board/Owner that has no interest in taking the club forwards.

In almost all circumstances I subscribe to the cock-up theory of history, rather than the conspiracy theory - but this time..........

If you ignore for a moment the notion of player purchases, and just think about the ordinary folk who work at the club - and are currently under threat of redundancy - then not renewing, or leaving it until the last minute will do nothing for their job security.

If you love the club and want to support the team, just buy a season ticket if circumstances permit, or on a case by case basis; but just do it.

SISU are so far into this club now that withholding buying, or only attending away games, or any other token gesture won't make one iota of difference. If only one person had a season ticket for next season, we'd still be under their stewardship - until something, or someone better comes along

The thing is it is well documented that sisu have mortgaged against future season ticket revenue IMO buying a season ticket is playing into their hands so if you want them out of your club, don't buy one. I can understand why fans have and will and wouldn't knock them but i think the time to buy is when they have gone, there's sure to be offers.

Now, this is something I've never understood. I've never bought a season ticket on condition that we sign a certain amount of players during the summer. Ever since the official message board was around - remember that anyone - ten years and more ago people have said they have been "ripped off" or "lied to" because they've bought a season ticket after being "told" or "promised" by whatever board was in charge that so-and-so would be signed, etc etc. Maybe, I'm in the minority, but my support has never had conditions attached. I've always got a season ticket and I always will.

Maybe, I'm just a little weird.

I would have said the same thing if he d said " I didn't buy a season ticket today ". Buy a season ticket or don t. Still sure it's down to individual choice. Advertising it on here screams give me a Blue Peter badge.

Fair enough. Maybe "conspiracy" was the wrong word. I know things are pretty rubbish, but the point for me is that we have a lot of posters who say stuff like if you buy a season ticket then you are killing the club or SISU will stay forever and we will be relegated again, etc. I think that kind of fortune telling doesn't help the club either. The club will never be able to buy the players everyone cries out for if no one supports the club financially.

Dongonzalos has hit the nail squarely on the head with what he's said, I totally agree with all his points, we've all got CCFC's best interests at heart, although some of us can be pedantic in our views(Myself included)....(I can put my hand up on that one) such a shame others can't. Oh well! gonna sit here and wait for my last two posts to be deleted.:)

Me too, but every other poster is either stating they are buying one or not. The whole ST thing is a big issue this year.

Torchomatic.... You really don't get it do you!....We have been supporting the club and SISU financially for 5 years. what, in exchange, have they done for the fans...Nothing! If you can find a constructive debate in answer to my post...I'm all ears:)

To be frank, I don't "get" anything you say. I'm happy to leave it at that.

The only reason that redundances may happen at the club is purely the doing of SISU. Please don't play the "It's your fault because you haven't bought a ST card"
5 years of mismanagement has caused this, nothing else. My kid brother was made redundant FOUR(4) times inside 12 months, but he picked himself up and got on with it! We all feel sorry for these people, but "S**t happens, and is made worse by stunts being pulled by owners like SISU!"
