Don’t think he’s ever hidden the fact he’s a Walsall fan but as a Coventry kid has time for his home town club too, can’t see anything wrong with that to be honest.
His dad was a Walsall fan so he became one when a kid, would have been difficult at the time too Jimmy Hill turned up and every kid became Sky Blue fanatics and at the time Walsall were struggling.

the 'guy from Coronation street' Graeme Hawley, is a proper supporter at least.
Keys is an absolute weapon and I can't believe this blatant attempt at band wagon jumping from Waterman. What a tosser.

Agree with all that.
Graeme Hawley was a regular at St Andrews, the other 2 are self serving Muppets.

When have Walsall not been struggling?
When they had David Kelly in the 80s?

Of course we do have Walsall connections

We don’t really have a famous fan. The Enemy were on Soccer AM a few years ago and only one of them said they supported us

He's a Walsall Fan?

Awful journalism again, even if he was a CCFC fan he wouldn't be the famous either.

Notice that keys must have forgotten to mention it. Maybe Hoffman hasn't asked him to say something?

David Kelly, now there's a name from Central News round-ups in the past. Was a proper goal machine for them (but then so was Kyle Lightbourne!). I remember Newcastle fans adoring Kelly too-he scored shedloads for them in a (I think) promotion season, only to be binned off to Wolves once they'd signed Andy Cole. Wolves thought they had the man to guarantee them promotion to the promised land but he was a damp squib there, hee hee.

True. Hawley seems to get genuinely care, while it feels all ego with Keys.

Alistair McGowan was on talk sport a couple of months ago saying he was happy to see Coventry on the up again.

Hawksbee and Jacobs introduced him as a massive leeds fan and when alistair came on he pointed out although he does follow leeds one of his other teams is Coventry City who he had a big affiliation in the 90s when he lived in the area. Spoke very fondly of us and hoped this was the start of something new.

Didn't Hawley put a City team photo in the background of one Corrie scene he was in?
Eddie Jordan was a famous Richardson mate rather than a CCFC fan.
Christian Horner on the other hand is a proud CCFC fan.
I guess thats another reason why we thought Red Bull might show some interest. Imagine if he got involved and we had Ginger Spice singing the Sky Blues Song when the team come out.

The player I most remember from Central News Round-up was Robbie Earle. Not a week went by when I didn’t see his face flashed up having scored another few for port vale. How the hell did he end up at Wimbledon and not us!
