Everyone is to blame but let's investigate the last couple of months:

Email confirming Wasps were approached in March 2012
Wasps refusing to deal unless the legals were dropped
SISU dropped the legals
Talks resume and it became apparent that a two year deal was on the table
Today Wasps pull out

Tell me what SISU have done wrong in the last two months?

How simplistic, SISU's application to the EC was already in place, it's just come to light.. it could lead to more legals and wham the sneaky pests drop talks.. that threatens them shits and boom CCFC are fucked again as piggys in the middle. SISU are utter wankers and always have been, we mean nothing to them. They have made it easy for the Wasps/ Council conspiracy because of their own selfish motives !

What can sisu do to keep us at the Ricoh?

I expect both parties will inevitably now come out throwing mud in public. Considering there were apparently hurdles to get over before Wasps apparently found out about the complaint to the European Commission, I wonder what these other hurdles were...

The headline is very misleading, so let's get this straight. It's the insects that have blocked further talks. Presumably because Sisu made a complaint to the EC that the CCC broke the EU rules when selling the Ricoh to the insects. The point is that Sisu have not made a complaint to the EC about the insects. They were simply the beneficiaries of the alleged breach by CCC. This seems to me like pretty thin basis for discontinuing talks. Unless of course the insects have some reason to fear the EC investigation into circumstances around their purchase of the Ricoh?
I don't pretend to really understand the complexities, but looking at both sides & weighing it up - I was thinking that SISU relentlessly pursuing the legals cost lods of money to both parties (war of attrition). IF SISU win in the end - it boosts their profile to astronomic levels in terms of attracting investors. If they fail, they have at least softened their opponents so much that a half-decent deal can be reached for a longer-term rent. AND they potentially gain acceptance for a 'local' site for a much more modest stadium site which pacifies most of the support base & is cost effective for the club moving forward (note cost effective vs significantly beneficial)

He's not wrong. The Lucas thing infuriates me. How you can openly and repeatedly lie to the public and there not be any comeback when you're found out is beyond me. Tried complaining to the local government ombudsman about it only to be told you can't file a complaint about something like that as it doesn't impact you as an individual.

If you have to pay more to travel to watch the team or cannot get a ticket (in the case of a ground-share/reduced capacity) surely it it DOES impact on ypu as an individual? If they are saying don't complain until after it has happened - then it negates the need for themselves because ypu can only complain AFTER impacted...which means compensation perhaps, but doesn't change the outcome beyond bankrupcy for one or more organisations (= no compensation???)

The law/establishment tying us in the street up in knots yet again it seems.

Shut the fuck up & move on?

No, that means giving in to their anti-christ. Money is their God & they & their kind are the ultimate fundamentalists in their pusuit of it!

That's like saying "it's easy to stay at the ricoh all we need is wasps to go back to london"

What can they actually do now?

What can SISU or any potential owner do now to get us back at the Ricoh?
Do you think Wasps will deal with a new owner?
Why would a new owner solve our problems?

I want SISU gone like 99.9% of this forum and they have been terrible owners for this club but they have been hard done by from the Wasps and CCC, I don't think anyone can deny that.

you do know why wasps won’t deal with sisu don’t you? if sisu weren’t here we would be at the Ricoh 1 million percent. It’s that simple

Very depressing situation, every other club has sold season tickets, has a positive feeling about the next year, have the income banked, we have nothing and that cannot be good.
I cannot and won’t travel to home games at Birmingham or elsewhere, how difficult can this be for both parties to sort, it’s commercial madness not to.

Really, why's that then?

It really is that simple isn't it...

seriously, what world do you live in? sisu manage to find ways to make it difficult as possible. wasps said they’ll talk if case is dropped so they did them find out sisu went to ec to complain. When will they stop? new owners fresh start. that’s how it works

If sisu leave the complaint still exists. Wasps are choosing to kick the club out of the city. Choosing to punish the fans of the football club that the stadium was built for. Yet the wankers get let off the hook because sisu exist.

The case is dropped, this is an investigation from the commission, not SISU. Brought out of a complaint made in February whilst legal action was ongoing.

Whilst I agree we need new owners, we want someone who isn’t going to pander to wasps demands - we do have a significant value, and should benefit accordingly

and whenever it appears we've hit rock bottom and things can't get any worse - they do.
The worrying thing is, it makes people a bit numbed to it all.

I remember McAllister dropping the first team and playing the kids because we couldn't afford the appearance fees - now that time I really feared for the club's future.

But we've had so many issues, it's been really hard to get people up because it's one after the other. What frightens me is we're in danger of sending a message we don't care.

I’m really past giving a shit about any of these bellends. SISU, wasps, the council - absolute pondlife the lot of ‘em.

For the first time in a long time we actually felt proud of our team the last couple of years. Yes it was a bit hit and miss last season but we had so much to be excited for going into this season ON the pitch.

All this bullshit will ensure no half decent player will want to sign for us and we can’t progress on the pitch.... yet again. What on Earth is SISU’s goal?!

I’ve just become numb to it all and it’s all but killed my love not only for CCFC, but football in general. I dunno where we go forward from here.

Why should Wasps case about the legals or the EC or anything against CCC? It is nothing to do with them. If CCC have done nothing wrong as they claim then if I was them I would ask SISU to proceed to waste their time and effort.

Wasps are the party that pulled out of the deal, not SISU. They are the ones that are stopping us playing in Coventry next season as we stand today.

Yeah, I can understand why people are annoyed at him. I can understand some words and some abuse in his direction but some of it is crossing the line, don't think telling him to fuck off is too bad but I think somebody photoshopped him as a sex offender? Bit too far.

The irony of the trust and "Lies Reid" is shocking throughout this. Just showing how hypocritical they are.

I don't even understand why people are annoyed at him.

a) It happened
b) Do we really credit Wasps with being so remarkably stupid they didn't expect any further action wrt the Ricoh?

I think the annoyance was probably the way it was put out, very rushed to get the news out so it led to a lot of confusion.

The oddest one I've seen him get snarled at for is the idea that if he'd just kept it under his hat nobody would find out and the deal would be signed. Twitter giving everyone a voice isn't a great thing.

For me it's the attention seeking, smug manner in which he conducts himself and his work. When the resulting damage is to us as a club and he himself is a Coventrian it sticks in my throat, even if it is not him directly causing the damage. He is no fan of CCFC.

Yeah, I am not naive enough to think that Wasps didn't know and everything would have been fine if he hadn't mentioned it. It's more the way he went about releasing it, leads to confusion. It was the same when he launched his book and had people thinking it was a takeover he was announcing to keep them interested.

I really don't see this as damaging us though.

There are many things I can credit Wasps with, but not being that stupid.

He's reporting something that's happened. Like it or not, it's where we are! Now, there's an argument to be made that better it's out there so at least we can head for a resolution one way or another ASAP. There's an argument to be said that at least it's out there, there's a chance for fans to actually protest about it.

And surely if it's been filed, there'd be ways of finding out anyway? If he hadn't broken it, someone else would have!

All well considered points as always Captain M. I do see continued proceedings around the Ricoh as damaging though and I would argue the timing of this news breaking was to maximise that damage. Gilbert's smug manner in breaking the news and his subsequent 'shock' at getting some stick on twitter while pretending he's on some righteous mission to get the fans answers is disingenuous. He's been played, didn't anticipate the fallout in his rush to break the news and is himself now playing the victim which I find to be deflection away from not owning his part in this. That for me is annoying.
EDIT: Not condoning the more extreme abuse by any means. The paedo/mong stuff is wrong but he ought to be able to handle the odd 'fucking Hamster-cheeked c**t'
