The protest (1 Viewer)

Anyone leaving the Ricoh could hear the chanting and anyone listing to CWR could here what they were protesting about.
I was at the game and didn't know anything about a protest until I read about it on here. I then looked on here and social media for details and found nothing hence asking about it only to be met with non answers.

Since then all I have found is one post on facebook with vague details of a Fisher Out march before the next home game and a couple of videos of people running around the empty stands and the Ricoh and someone running on the pitch in an empty stadium.

Some would prefer to target them all.
Me being one. I think the sticking point is, the SISU OUT at all costs people think we’ll forget about them if we target someone else in the short term.

My view is, pressure wasps now. Get a deal - work on SISU long term. Something has to give

Your right we need a wasps protest but what.
Everything tried against Sisu has been rubbish and bashed and the only things we can do against wasps are the same.
Thing is it is no good if you can't get numbers 5 people at a Wasps game is just no good plus the threat from their supporters would be a bit off putting.
Need to fill the ground with City fans I'm sure we could get enough free tickets so they make nothing from it all go in the ground demonstrate chanting etc then leave as they kick off.
Trouble is now it's been on here they will be watching.

On a slight side issue (apologies if it's already been mentioned) , don't the club usually generate income in about April(?) through the early bird offer for next season's ticket sales? This is going to be tricky isn't it and create a cash flow problem while this carries on (perhaps the reduction in players wage bill in the transfer window will have helped- without being cynical!)
It’s a great point and lost in this recent spat between captain and Nick. One obvious ‘protest’ would be no ST sales until this is clear.

You can't sell something if you don't know what your selling.

Exactly but every year we ‘borrow’ this cash from the fans based on the following season, this year it cannot happen!
Who borrows what? The money goes to the club doesn't it to then fund pre season and go towards the budget for next year.

How will that force a deal? They won't be on sale until a deal is done one way or another

It’s like paying for something that we don’t have I.e. we get it next season so hence a ‘borrow’. Early bird hits around April time does it not? And equally if this hasn’t been resolved people won’t be buying, this could force hands

They won't be able to put them on sale until they know where they are playing.

Apparently it’s against the stadium issue and nothing to do with current performances..... hmmm

It’s the same group that organised the one at the Council House on Saturday.
Posted at 11.06 am on Sunday .

I would have thought that it is more to do with the fact that we are three months away from being homeless. I don’t know who has organised these protests, I didn’t know they were happening. I think it says something about some posters on here that the immediate reaction is to sneer at those involved and question their motives, ie, only doing it because the team are doing badly. Howeve the team are doing, the situation at the Ricoh needs to be solved. In the past we were told that all protests should not affect the team. Any protests should involve all parties, not just Sisu. As far as I know, Saturday’s protest was after the match, and here is an example of involving CCC. We also had the sleeping out event which raised money for the homeless as well as highlighting our own soon to be homeless status. I am not saying that protests will change anything for the better but if they don’t make things worse, why the constant cynicism from some on here for those who feel they have got to try something? Fine if you think it is futile, fine if you don’t want to get involved, but why the sneery attitude?

Think the staying at the end of games if it were thousands even hundreds is a good idea. Stay until the club address us or Sisu or fisher whoever but they are not going to peacefully move on 3000 people are they?
Posted at 10.47 am on Monday .
So it the fans fault for "chanting or banners" why ALL parties are not negotiating.

If the politicians can't get them to negotiate, what chance do us fans have.

"It's not difficult to grasp "

I agree, if the worst happens then everyone will be the same page.
So it's an anti sisu protest and not a protest to encourage all parties to enter dialogue. Fine, but I think some of the other protestors may have a different agenda, might be handy if you were all on the same page.
Posted at 2.56 pm on Tuesday.

I’ve read through the whole thread and can’t see anyone stating that they will not say what the protests are about. The nearest is LAST asking why would they bother coming on here to say, when they will be shot down by many of the posters above. I can’t see a post by anyone who claims to be an organiser or someone who took part in the protests and yet they are now getting stick for not sharing what the protests are about. Just look at the snide, sneering comments that are on here from some posters.
I think that they should post on here and then everyone can make their mind up if they want to support it or not. I don’t know any of these people or what their aims are but I think I could hazard a guess that they are concerned that after the next 8 home games we have no where to play. It would seem that Sisu were the target for the after match protest on Saturday. Fair enough in my view, they are one of the major players in this issue. Will staying behind and chanting “Sisu Out” have an influence on the outcome, probably not. If nothing else however, the equally sneery Tim Fisher won’t be able to come out and say that all fans are compliant and there is no opposition to Sisu’s plans. His comment that “ The Ricoh has always been plan A” shows how he can twist things and try to manipulate the media. Okay, it was only on CWR but the media do pick up on these things and do highlight our plight and hopefully bring that plight to a wider audience. At the risk of repeating myself, this protest was at the end of a match and did not affect the game at all. Some of the jeering souls above have stated in the past that this type of protest would cause them no problems. It seems they still need to ridicule those involved.
There was a protest at the council house presumably, against CCC and their lack of support for the City’s premier sports team. CCC have a lot of things to answer for as is frequently pointed out on here by our scoffing friends above. This is obviously still not good enough for some who continue to make “fun”.
LAST has also stated that Wasps will be targeted too completing the trinity of those most people said needed to be held to account. Good move? No, let’s belittle those involved even though presumably most on here, me included, don’t know who they are. As I mentioned above, fine not to do anything if that is what you want, fine not to join in if that is how you feel. Unfortunately the default position for some is to belittle and sneer, feeding off the comments of others to continue the process of denigrating those who have chosen to do something. What would be the motive for those on here who choose to act this way? Do our taunting brothers on here think they are helping our cause?

They might be asked questions about it to which the usual sisu apologist nonsense would come out.

Have you read the whole thread? Not really much sneering apart from one person who seemed to be aggressive about people asking what it was about.

Most have asked genuine questions because they didn't hear anything about it.

Your "usual crew" nonsense sums it up really. It's the usual chest beating let's be angry by the looks of it? The reaction would depend on what is said.
Posted 8.23pm on Tuesday and this is where you stick your nose in with words like aggressive , a complete fabrication , fiction, a lie .

As everyone can see Covstu confirmed in post #4 at 11.01am what the protest was about, long before my post #46 .

Then CJ Covblaze in post #5 at 11.05 confirmed it was the same group who made the protest out side the council house .

So how can anyone say they didn't know what the protest was about , unless they didn't read the whole thread, then that's not my fault.

STOP EXAGGERATING AND STOP TWISTING THINGS.

What are you on about now? I was talking about your posts. Not the others. People were still trying to figure out more about it on Monday evening.

I notice you didn't post somebody else suggest literacy classes or the other people baffled by your replies?

If you can't follow a discussion properly then what's the point?

You haven't even realised covstu was being sarcastic either.

Nothing is being twisted or exaggerated apart from by you and your bullying nonsense. I don't expect you to understand that.

A poor man's sky blue kid.

You said where have you been for the last 11 years in a preovious post, which suggests you were referring to the sisu out protests.
The posts you've hi-lighted above suggest they're about getting the relevant parties around the table to discuss the current rental disagreement.
Thanks for taking the time to prove my point, appreciate it.

There's a huge difference. SISU couldn't care less about negative publicity, upsetting the fans or the club in general. That's not the same with Wasps. They seem very sensitive to negative publicity, don't want their fans upset and, even if its not their top priority, want Wasps to be at least vaguely successful.

Start asking them questions and protesting against them and you might see a change. At the moment they, and the council for that matter, think they can do whatever they like to the football club with zero comeback on themselves.

I think there’s merit in a sit in but it needs to be thousands not tens and it’s we want to play here not Sisu out that is the Mantra.

Do the stewards get paid per game? They may even be on our side at the few hundred quid they’re gonna miss out on.

Look at other actions that cause a response. Most recent one is the 79 day service to keep a family from being deported. Peaceful and successful

I don't, the march in the Summer before the club was moved to Northampton had about 8000 people on it and had no effect on the club. Nothing of that sort will make SISU change tack, a different approach is needed.

I like the idea and singing a rendition of in our Coventry homes rewritten to suit our current predicament but here’s the thing. So long as the only people willing to mobilise themselves into a protest are the ones who want to sing SISU out that’s the only type of protest it’s going to be.

Sorry but your missing the point .

I have been accused of being an aggressive bully by Nick , which is nonsense.

I may be wrong, but weren't you the first one to throw the bullying accusation around?
Personally, I don't think there's anything on this thread that constitutes bullying from anyone.

Only after he used the words "one person is being aggressive " which is not true.

He's passive aggressive , that's someone who's trying to get a reaction, isn't that what bullies do, we'll it worked.

That's twice on this thread you have mentioned him and you have also mentioned him on other threads.

I don't know who S.B.K. is, but he certainly gets under your skin .

Oh well, I suppose I'm another one you can add to your list of people you don't like.

It's ok I won't be losing any sleep over it because you don't come across as being a very pleasant person anyway.
