No, he tried to. That's why he brings JCH on.

It's made us weaker going forward and defensively with Bright on the left.

How would hiwula have prevented attrocious defending? I’m the end our defence has been shambolic

Our shape completely changed, he moved Bright who did hold the ball up well and run forward with it out to the Left. Moved Chaplin deep who didn't hold anything up, run at them, win the ball.

Said right at the start of the season we need a proper centre forward we would be in a better position if we actually went and got one McNulty not being replaced has been a great shame we could be in top 6 if we had someone who could just finish

So we go 1-0 and Robins makes a defensive substitute.
He brings on JCH for Hiwula and although that’s a striker for a striker, we all know that means 1up top with JCH helping out defensively. Couldn’t understand why we needed to do that - we were on top at the time, let’s push for 2.

Minute later they equalise and we are defensive. Not surprised we ended up losing. Not happy with Robins this time.

That psses me off. e were by far the better team first half but conceded the advantage after scoring and going ahead! MR's sub and tactical change was too soon and wrong. e should have kept the pressure on. Another game we should never have lost. e must however defend corners and set pives much better. e are gifting the opposition the opportunities they don't deserve. A big annoyance today. The players are not exactly at fault for the defeat, it's more a case of MR's tactical change - a management mistake I'd say. Hiwula has every right to complain.

Terrible decision by Robins

We have been punished since he brought Bright over to the Left. He was having a great game in the middle.

Trying to be cocky and change things, it's cost us.
How do we know that though? How do we know Hiwula wasn't carrying a knock? Or was unwell ? Or tiring?

Let's at least see what Robins says as to the reason first.

Hiwula was pissed off being taken off.

It is also the exact same minute as he brought JCH on last week.

Disappointing result, I'm finding this a very frustrating season, we lose games we are on top, i can't fathom the substitutions most weeks, when we are losing we don't make changes early enough and when we are winning we change things early. I'll admit i was hoping for the play offs but they seem a very long way off tonight.

Sounds like Bright had a good game in a more central role. He seemed to help link the middle and the attack. Annoying about today, but it is fairly clear we are not strong enough for promotion, but hopefully we won't get dragged back towards the bottom half. It is more important that we build the team for next season. Does make me laugh when we accept we are all over them, 65% plus possession etc, then people say MR has us set up all wrong. Would like to see Bright play 90 mins in the middle next week. We are a work in progress and it is our first season after promotion; we will be stronger next year.

I don’t know where the promotion plans have come from? We are a promoted team with fuck all money.
I’ve always said mid table would be a good start to life back in L1 and go for it in the summer again, with fuck all money.
Back to back promotions was a pipe dream.
Luton appear to be the exception.
