Bit of Bank Holiday light hearted fun...

Time to get the board’s opinion on rivalry/disliked clubs cleared up...its been discussed plenty over the years so let’s put a vote on it.

Which club’s results do you smirk at, which club do u openly hate or despise, who’s fans irritate the fuck out of you?

Comment if your choice isn’t on the poll...It could be a personal thing, it doesn’t have to be a local team.

For me it has to The Cob Squad, I have a huge disliking for their fans and how they talk us down - I live in Leicestershire.

At the moment I'd enjoy Sunderland and Sheffield Utd failing over most other teams.

Yeah that’s it! Both these two.
I can’t say I hate them but life is slightly better if I know theyre doing badly.
As I think you’re suggesting the clubs I feel like this about may change over time.
Although I think I’ll always feel this way about Sheffield Utd...and Sunderland of course.

Leeds.

Every single encounter I have had with their fans has been very negative.

I'm sure they must have some decent fans out there, but I'm yet to meet one.

Have to say I think you are spot on, during the 90’s their fans epitomised the word arrogant...do they still sing that stupid song ‘We are the champions, champions of Europe, we are the...’?

Definitely. For example I didn't really give Sunderland a second thought until I found out how on here much they despise us based on that Jimmy Hill thing with Bristol City, that it's coincided with their slump towards League One and Chris Coleman overseeing it is a nice bonus.

They are utter, utter barstards, cos I wrote to their fans and asked that we both team up together, the City and them, and join forces in a joint hatred of Bristol City, but they never got back to me.

Sheffield United purely for the fact I was convinced we were gonna win the fa cup in 98, plus as mentioned the fans reaction to our protest too.

QPR as well, we played them in around 96 at highfield road if memory serves me right we beat then to put them in the bottom 3, I was carrying my nephew who was 3 at the time out through the street towards the car and a rotten bastard kicked me and tried to trip me up

Yeah that’s the same for me with Sunderland. They’ve bought my mild distaste for them on themselves!
Sheffield United is slightly more deep rooted. My loathe stems from my childhood. At night Father Dactyl used to sit us round the fire and, whilst wearing his Pompey kit, tell us little dactyls, awful, scary stories of Pompey’s failure to ever beat the evil monstrosity that are Sheffield United.
For similar reasons I also especially dislike Ian St John...or ‘the criminal’ as he was known in our household.

Arsenal, saw Max off eastenders on soccer am who supports them, talks down winning the fa cup like it's nothing.

Arsenal TV should be a reality TV show. Their "plight" is so entertaining. I do want them to win the Europa League and Wenger retires on a high. It's ugly to see a legend become so polarising.

I think West Ham fans are irritating me the most at the moment with those scenes at the Olympic Stadium, and their insistence that there is a 'West Ham way', which they are the only fans to describe such a way. They complain about their owners for moving into the Olympic Stadium, who are West Ham fans and have pumped a decent amount of money into the club. What tits.

Mind you, a lot of Cov fans are irritating too. As a collective, we're right miserable bastards! Although, a lot of it is probably justified, but I can't stand self-pity.

Every other team when they score against us. Totally irrational I know and I’m not 6 any more but in my 50s.

I just instantly develop the desire to machine gun the players hugging each other and the fans celebrating. I know they are all just like us and we do it but somehow it is different. Especially the snot-nosed little runts at the back doing all the arm outstretched airplane impressions. Would love to fire an RPG right into the middle of them. And I’m not a violent chap usually.

But if forced to nominate:
Leeds
Tottenham
Man Utd
Chelsea
Leicester
Sunderland
Villa
Birmingham
West Brom
Swindon

That would be the ex Coventry City player, Ian St John?

I've met a lot of decent Leeds fans. Especially in Leeds on non match days at gigs. I can understand why a lot of people don't like them.
Remember the fighting on the pitch on the last day of the season when we drew 0-0.

I also have an issue with Swindon, wank club with chav fans who think they’re Anthony Joshua...mind you we have plenty of them lol.

Me too, proper running battle that day.

I’m afraid so. The damage was done prior to my supporting of cov...he started on us early. Fortunately I avoided full indoctrination.
If its any consolation I did cheer when cov beat Pompey to send them down, while Alan Ball managed them...“Sit the fuck down” went the growl to my left.

Sheff Utd.

The cup replay started it off and then playing them over the course of the 00s and realising just what wankers their fans are.

Yep never forget that night culminating in my mate trying to run them over on the way out of Sheffield...

Haha had a few run ins with them at HR in the early championship days and their players seemed to be just as bad, especially the likes of Kenny.

Yeh me too, mouthy fuckers but I was always happy to engage with them. Had a couple of run-ins with them on Gosford St and in the town back in the 90’s.
