Time to call on Gwen Guthrie or Neil Tennant.
No pun intended. :p

Some fair points there, but for a club that's only been here just over 2 years to get crowds over 30,000 is pretty impressive, or maybe worrying is a better word. It doesn't appear that they will be struggling team wise in the near future, so probably they are going to be a successful for years to come. As each year goes by, they will inevitably become more embedded in the community. Looking at the pictures on Saturday there looked to be a lot of young fans there, and for them they will just see them as a Coventry team.
Everybody I've spoken to who has gone to a game, and I hate to say this ,all talk of an enjoyable match day experience, some of these are CCFC fans as well.
I'm not sure of their match prices but if the £36 adult price is right for their next game, and they sell near 33,000 tickets, and you add on TV broadcasting, huge corporate sales, food sales, beer sales car parking sales, perimeter advertising sales, merchandising sales, programme? sales, that will a huge profit for them. They are guaranteed huge crowds each season from games against Leicester/Northampton and probably even Worcester.
Oh and yes agreed CCC are not innocent in our current mess. Just feel we are sleepwalking to an irrelevance,if the current situation carries on much longer, and our owners simply couldn't care less.
Even with all the positive points you mention they are losing millions of pounds a year. How are they going to turn that around when they are already at their peak.

Wasps were losing lots of money but it will be interesting to see their next set of accounts. If they fail to record a profit after all this on-field success then they really are fucked.

Of course they would be willing to talk, any extra money in their coffers from a ground that wasn't built for them will be most welcome. We will be allowed to stay on terms profitable to them which means we will continue to take a financial hit which our competitors do not. Still, it's that or a groundshare outside the city.

MP that offered mediation has confirmed in the CT that he contacted Wasps despite Eastwood saying there hasn't been any contact.

Yet Gary Hoffman wasn't concerned that he wouldn't be able to strike a deal with them when he was bidding for the club?
If the statement was just about not getting blame. Could they not have just carried on as things were. Most people thought it was reasonable not to get involved in a new long term deal with SISU, whilst SISU were dragging them into legal action.
I get the impression it just Eastwood has a different ideas.
Although I have to admit it is bizarre to say the club haven't been in touch yet. Unless they have already let the club know they are ready to talk.

Looks like Nicky forgets whose been in touch and who hasn't

Why don't you tell us after all you've already told us about the seven fold increase in rent, come on you must know more.

Perhaps Nicky will answer you. People on here seem to trust him so much

Yeah, but the Telegraph makes everything up. When suits.

I don't trust anyone in respect of CCFC and that includes you. One thing if you're not going to answer questions don't ask any.

I told you what I had heard was the offer made as I described. Another poster said he had heard the same thing. Given your penchant for dropping hints and innuendo all the time on here I find your angst baffling.

Letters, why is everybody writing letters and faxes that don't get anywhere!!!!?
If I was an MP tasked to do something I would write a letter, I would have the same letter sent in email form. I would also speak to the relevant person by phone.
When I needed to report back to my boss I would not be saying 'well I sent a letter but didn't hear anything'. ( that's just not an acceptable answer). That's not how an MP tasked to do something should work.
My boss would be rightly asking 'well, what did they say to you on the phone'
Two things should happen now over the next few days. The club and the MP contact Wasps. Let's see if they do.
Worrying thing is, without a new CEO around Tim Fisher will do the negotiations with Wasps.
His record so far in such matters does not fill me with confidence

As I have always said to you, I don't give a rats ass about Wasps. Never been to one of their games and would surprised if I ever did.
My points are always based on common sense.
If I am tasked to contact someone. If I write a letter and don't hear back, I then, phone them, email them, contact their secretary and book an appointment.
I make a record of all of this so if I get fobed off. Then there can be no excuses and I did my job.
Just sending a letter, unfortunately doesn't cut it and Tracey Crouch should give him a blast up the arse.

As I say this week we should see both the club and thrvMP getting in touch with Wasps

Why did Eastwood say there had been no contact?

You never heard anything.
You just latch onto other posters who post what you like to here.
From where I sit you are clueless.

It was a bloody letter. A bloody letter in this day and age.
Send an email direct and track it.
All of a sudden the telegraph can be believed.
As I said you just latch on and put it over as inside knowledge.

Just amusing how defensive you get when Nicky has a tiny bit of heat turned on him.
