It is almost inevitable that we will go inti the third tier of English football for the first time in my 40years of supporting them, so perhaps now is as good a time for the second rising of the pheonix since the original Jimmy Hill revolution of the 1960's.
Consequently we need branch and rootes changes from the top; I feel sorry for all thise who gave up their shares on the pretext of a brighter future, right through to junior football.
Concerning the latter there are a number of excellent teams in the Coventry John Bryan league -rtainly it is seen as a top league, but one in which the club is not utilising.
Concerning the former the current owners need to make a definitive decision about their involvement for the future. The current status que not being an option.
My view would be to start now for bext year. Have a system which the whole club will adopt and if need be use the young talent we have.
I think if there is a vision people will buy into it- unless you say we are staying up.
The city of Coventry is built on reinvention and inovation. The club should follow suit.
