    Default Late Kick Off

I'm the new producer of the BBC1 Football League show, Late Kick Off, which will return on Monday nights in January. Please feel free to email me with issues you'd like the programme to feature, whether serious or light-hearted. We'll be doing our best to talk to the people running the Sky Blues and to keep on top of what's happening at the club. You can contact me at duncan.jones@bbc.co.uk.

how about an article called "will the real owners please stand up". How is it so many clubs and in particular ours CCFC are owned by shadowy investors. How can the Football league control the owners as fit & proper if they are never disclosed. We are owned by unknown investors who apparently own less than 10% each which gets round the League rule. How is that transparent?.

Why is it the League do not investigate and report more thoroughly Directors who have at best questionnable business history. Clearly they do not at present.

Why is it the Football league do not actively investigate clubs who are secretive, guilty of bad practice, poor financial control & management ?

How is it the Football League who are one of the guardians of the game are so meek and mild when it comes to actually protecting the game. They are the guardians on behalf of the fans and it is the fans who are always last to know, it is the fans that always suffer yet as a group fund a huge slice of all that is football

As a CCFC fan I would like to see a decent thorough investigative journalist find out what is going on at our club - infact I would like anyone to find out and tell us. BUt unlikely to be headline for a regional programme

hows that for a start ? there is a thread called "Questions" on here that gives a very good flavour of what we the CCFC fans want to know about our club

    cheers OSB

Thanks OSB. We're working on a feature about club ownership in general but I think we need to do a piece on the Sky Blues alone.

It's about time someone did. Coventry City FC have never been a "Man Utd", "Liverpool", "Arsenal" type club, with trophy after trophy coming through the doors, but we have a MASSIVE heart as a club. By that I mean the fans. Our history shows we have suffered probably more than any team in the league - promotion to the top flight in 1967, one FA Cup win in 1987 and that's about it really. But we stayed in the top flight for 34 YEARS! The fans have always been there come what may. But the last few years have been the worst I can remember. And it's all down to SISU. They have promised funds for new players and loan players, but have not produced the goods. Andy Thorn was a temporary Messiah at first, but has now shown that he is clueless as a manager. He is a great scout but no manager. There are differences of opinion among the fans where Andy Thorn is concerned, but I believe those who want him to stay are now just clutching at straws. But we're stuck with him because to SISU, he is a cheap option.
Yes, please do a feature on Coventry City FC, but please don't hold back. Investigate SISU for the fans. They won't listen to us, but they just might do something if the BBC is involved.

Quite right to and about time someone exposed the ownerships issues. Also the contemptable way in which the club is being run, ie cutting cost by selling off any decent player below market value to clubs like Cardiff where there were connections between the clubs . Ray Ranson then a shareholder of Coventry loaning Cardiff money via one of his companies.
Cost cutting with complete disregard to they playing side of the club ( the business product) to which end they will be relegated thus loosing more revenue next season and what then another round of cost cutting . This continuing until the club no longer exist. And why do Sisu refuse to speak to prospective buyers, do they actually have plan to save the club and if so just what is the plan?
I could ask much more but just to get a genuine answer to those questions would be a start
