EARLY CUP EXIT NEXT SEASON PLEASE

Leciester had 1 less game in the cup than us. People like to find excuses and the cup is a convenient scapegoat. If I was pinpointing the issues I think the injuries to Saka, Sheaf and to a lesser degree Allen and an overall lack of squad depth were the key factors.

    Callum O'Hare

What's wrong with honesty which is more like, "I am happy here but want to focus on football until the end of the season" It was the disingenuous deflections about not seeing a contract etc that I think annoyed some fans.

Match Thread Coventry City - Queens Park Rangers Match Thread - Saturday 4th May

Dausch starting would be an exciting look to the future. It's hard to tell how good he will be but the touch and shot he produced at the end of the Ipswich game shows he has something about him and we may as well test his readiness sooner rather than later.

    Sheaf

Based on what do you make that claim?

    Aidan Dausch

Deserves a longer run out on Saturday.

    The sack list

Tonight showed we lack quility and need a new GK, LB, ACM, winger that can cover both sides and a ST. If we can spend 15m or so in those areas and keep our best players we will be competing at the top end next season.

    The sack list

Lati, Allen and I suspect Da Silva will stay around the squad. Based on squad depth needs and length of contract.

    Callum O'Hare

Palmer is a more physical player and on his day is a top level performer. He however needs to cut out the worldie (spelling!) passes that more often than not turn possession over, and focus on linking the play more effectively.

    Match Thread Ipswich Match Thread

Looking ahead to next season, I would like Ipswich in the Championship far more than Leeds so on that basis I hope we do the Yorkshire team a favour and win it!

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

I guess some of the difference could be explained by the fees involved and therefore expectation levels? Saka 1 mill and Wright is the most expensive player in the history of CCFC?

    Sheaf

How many years has he got left? If it's 1 year I hear your point but I think it's 3 and will be 2 next summer! Personally, I have greater loyalty to the club and wanting us to progress by not endlessly needing to replace our best players capable of operating right at the top of the league then...

    Kyle Mcfadzean

He has been playing and getting player of the month nominations at Blackburn. I could well see one of the newly promoted clubs offering him a deal to stay in the Championship if any play 3 at the back. Blackburn might also opt to keep him?

    New number one needed

If Moore and Wilson leave I think it opens the door to get a new GK.

Match Thread Coventry City v Manchester United - FA Cup Semi-Final

Same sort of person who writes hateful comments in public toilets. There is zero accountability and this is why they do it, safe in the knowledge they can goad fair minded people, sit back and watch the aftermath. Best thing to do is report and ignore and in turn starve their small egos of the...

Match Thread Coventry City v Manchester United - FA Cup Semi-Final

Had we won that would have been peak for most fans. We sadly didn't do that. Football is typically measured by actual success and I think promotion, when and if it happens, will be more exhilarating than yesterday, albeit with less of a roller coaster of emotions unless its a last minute goal...

    Summer transfer/squad plans 2024

If we want to progress and are serious about top 2, we to keep all our best players and make him club captain and stop the merry go round of our best players leaving. Replacing top talent is far harder and risker than building a team around them.

    Fábio Tavares

He has trained on under the watchful eye of Adi and the coaching team. I actually think he has the potential to be a back up for Saka and also be a 4th choice ST. For those reasons he is worth keeping in the squad.

    Fábio Tavares

He and the other subs changed the game today. Still needs work on his first touch but he can cross well and his pace offers a great outlet.
