    The Way Forward

Looks like it was written by a lower sixth form Business Studies student who's been partying all Christmas, suddenly realised they've got a piece of homework to hand in next week, and is making up for poor grammar and inexperience of the subject with an over abundance of big words. There are...

Unfortunately, we really are in no mans land

    42. Nothing in the evidence before me causes me to doubt any of the findings of fact made by Leggatt J on the evidence before him. Indeed, the evidence I have seen merely confirms them. By the end of August 2012, SISU buying into ACL by purchasing Higgs Charity’s share was simply not an option:

Well done Tim. You seem to have completely redefined the word "denial"...

Having quickly read through it, I can't imagine they'll be given the right to appeal.

    Full Court Verdict

Section 78 (ii) CCFC/SISU had no strategy for maintaining a sustainable football club, except one which involved (i) the purchase, at a knock down price, of at least a 50% share in ACL and thus the Arena, and (ii) the purchase from the Bank, at a knockdown price, of the ACL loan.

    JR Verdict Thread

From CCFC website "Coventry City Football Club and its owners' primary objective remains building a long-term future... The Judgement by Hickinbottom J, that the Council's (CCC) decision to provide a £14.4 million loan to private stadium management company Arena Coventry Limited (ACL) was...

Sisu have their arses slapped again

Incidentally, just the cost of even applying for a Judicial Review will not be insignificant, and having had it rejected, SISU are currently liable for this, another reason for the appeal. My understanding is that costs are likely to be at least £200k-£250k.

We'll Come Back To The Ricoh...

Seeing a lot of knee jerk responses along the lines of "the council should just give the club the stadium" Just as a reminder, the link below shows why they cannot do this, even if they wanted to. It is also why when the council stepped in to fund the project, it had to be on a standard...

We'll Come Back To The Ricoh...

Poor article, telling us little more about Joy and her gang than we knew already. One thing Les should have asked was a follow up to the statement that it was never the intent to distress ACL. Why are they so hell bent on the judicial review then?

Coventry Owner Climbs Back Into The Black

Arena 2000. Does anyone still have one of these...........

Oddly enough I moved house a few weeks back, and found a copy of each of the 2 issues of "a2" magazine and one of the magazine they produced when they started building. If I could work out how to put photos on here I'd post the piccy I took... Lots of BR and Ken Bates congratulating each...

    Whatever happened to .......................

Could be more in this than we realise.... At the meeting that Joy attended a couple of weeks back, ACL stated Tim wasn't there. In fact, have they ever been seen together? Maybe this is also why she (allegedly) employs people to remove any trace of her from the interweb. The only...

    Breaking news about Rent Deal

It's what SISU CLAIMED they wanted in the first place! I find the court action against Northampton interesting as well, and the whole set up makes me wonder what everyones end game is now. Their response will be interesting.

Have ACL been completely beaten here

The ball is totally in ACLs court. If they can make the business model work without the football club, then fine. The loss of revenue from CCFCs rent is not really the issue, but knock on effects of deals with Ricoh and Compass may be more of a problem. They could also look to redevelop...

    Let just start again?

I think it's more fundamental than that. If this whole sorry saga tells us one thing it's this: this is no longer our club. It's SISUs and they don't give a shit about anyone else. The hedge fund have no interest in the fans or the football, and don't reflect what we're interested in. The...

    Confirmed northampton

I find it strange that fans of any club could not be thinking "there but for the grace of god".... With the exception of a chosen few with serious financial clout, any team from the bottom half of the Premiership down could be in this situation. Stoke, Fulham, Norwich are all where we were 13...

    Elliott and Hoffman

It'll be interesting to see if Mr Coventry and his sidekick still attend home games. Joe's (rightfully) proud of his attendance record, but I wonder if this will be too much for him?

Could the players support us in this???

Can't see the plyers doing anything, but I do find it strange that Steven Pressley, who famously stood up against the mismanagement of the club by Romanov whilst captain at Hearts, seems to be immune from taking any stance against his current employers, despite the obvious effect it's likely to...
