A draw would have been a fair result. Ipswich looked more leggy than we did! We just didn't capitalise on the possession we had. Palmer just can't hang on to the ball buthe also has the vison to see a brilliant ball, which he did for Wrights goal.
But good luck to Ipswich, what a magnificent season they have had. The way they play is constantly winning the first and second ball, crowding out players in groups. It works against any side. We have done it last season many times. I have to say they have also ridden their luck in so many games this season but somehow that's been in their favour too. But you have to be in it to win it and they did it consistently from the start of the season. With goalscorers such as Wright and Simms, we do that next season from the get go and we too will be in a similar position. Now we need a clear out and a few good replacements to get to the next stage.

Palmers main issue is decision making. Tries the wonder pass too often. Looks great the 1 time in 50 it comes off. Unfortunately it looks like dog shit the other 49.
There's definitely a player in there, which makes it more frustrating. There is a time for the fancy stuff and there is a time for the simple stuff. He needs to get the balance right

6 loses since Sakamoto was injured at the end of Feb. Absolutely massive lost. Completely disrupted our formation.

He was poor tonight but Palmer has 1 goal and 2 assists in his last 10 league games, O'Hare has 0 goals and 0 assists so no matter how much better O'Hare is he isn't doing it at the moment.
Even when Ohare plays crap he offers more than Palmer is offering with his useless flicks and passes

But people kept (and keep) bemoaning Palmer for not contributing enough goals and assists yet when he contributes more than O'Hare then people move the goalposts and moan about something else.

O’Hare is clearly the better player but Palmer has contributed more in the last 10 games that's just a fact.

Yup. This. ⬆️

We never filled that gap once he was injured and he had been in such a rich vein of form hadn't he

Big blow. I am sure if he hasn't stayed fit we would have easily made the playoffs

Fabulous wright goal
Bobby had a good game
Think many of you wanted us to get smashed so you could go off on one and we almost got a 2-2 ahainsy the team second in the table

Ipswich are 2nd for a reason and whilst they’re a promoted team, they’ve spent a lot of money getting out of L1 and to get out the Championship.

When people say players like Palmer, Allen and Kelly are ‘fine’ as backups for where we want to be (promotion) are talking nonsense.

The depth of teams above us is superior - they’re not ‘back ups’ for teams at the top end of this league.

It’s been a good season despite April and with the right moves in the transfer market, that could be us next season.

Need to get rid off a fair few players!

Undoubted ability. But he’s not a starter for me. The exasperation outweighs the satisfaction.

Come on Pete you can't be happy with the way we have petered out I'm pleased with the progression and will get over it but let's not pretend disappointed fans are acting like toddlers.
No one likes to lose games but it’s been clear since that the season has just taken its toll on the squad.

We’ve got players playing who are out of position and not 100% fit. If we had the depth, they wouldn’t be playing.

Man U was the last big effort of this season and you can see they are drained physically and psychologically.

Oh give it a rest.

It was fucking shite. We didn't get 2 goals, likewise they could have had 4 or 5 but didn't.

One assist in a game makes an AM though. O’Hare couldn’t play that pass and that’s the difference. He’d have picked it up and dribbled in circles in the corner then wandered about for a bit.

I'm not sure it was that good of a pass?
