Can't really begrudge them can we? We'd 100% be doing the same.

Our league 2 playoffs year as the push looked on I remember sneaking into several home ends where there were clearly large groups of Coventry fans being pretty obvious about it. Cheltenham away we had the whole home end clapping Biamou's bicycle kick.

This came up in my memories thing on FB 6 years ago today!

But how do you achieve this? The biggest complaint about opening up the extra blocks to home fans is that its 'day trippers' and those currently in singers corner want to be closest to away fans to generate atmosphere. It then follows that if those blocks are being opened up regularly for home fans season tickets are offered there.

So next season when its decided there's a nothing game where there's more demand from away fans are you turfing home fans out of their season ticket seats?

At the end of the day im sure the club have got enough to worry about than wasting time sorting away fans allocation game to game. Once it’s 2.5k that’s that and they can focus on other things.

We better be making maximum effort I’ve shelled out £90 for our 3 tickets and my daughter has been in Canada for 19 months so would like her to see how well we can play.

Everything we do needs to be about the long term good of our club.

That doesn’t mean cashing in on a well supported away team.

Football is a zero sum game. The better other clubs are doing, the worse it is for us.

Every time we make our opponents stronger, we’re making things more difficult for ourselves.

The long term approach that Doug has taken since becoming owner is one of the things I’m most impressed by.

This is just full of contradictions.

First you say everything we do has to be for the long term good of the club. Surely gaining more money from Ipswich supporters has to do that but no you don't want that money.

Then there's this idea that depriving Ipswich supporters a seat at the match will impair them getting so it means one less club succeeding. It's already been established three clubs will go up. So if it isn't Ipswich another will go up anyway.

If Ipswich go up they won't be our opponents next year so how is that making it more difficult for ourselves?

We're just talking about enabling some people to go and watch a football match and making some money from it.

I don't see any contradictions there. For a start its not just about Ipswich, its any opponent.

Secondly taking money to allow Ipswich fans to have an amazing night at our ground is just going to improve their fanbase.

I see quite a few City games in the home end, because I can’t get away tickets. Last two were Sheff Wed and Watford. We won both games, and I thoroughly enjoyed the games, even though I had to sit on my hands when we scored. Nothing wrong with it.

11 coaches stopping in Nuneaton, all their top boys coming. Anniversary of something when someone died. All gonna kick off and get messy as heard 4k+ in our end.

Leeds will have to sell Somerville if they don't go up, they won't be as strong next year. Ipswich under their current manager will be there again I think.

If games not being on at 3pm Saturday will diminish home fans, isn’t it likely that it would have the same effect on away fans?

if Leeds dont go up they is in the Poo! and will have to sell 2/3 top players to avoid a points deduction. They have to pay £79 million in transfer fees before the start of the new season.

Ipswich will just be another parachute payment club and back with us after a season with shit loads of money. We don't need anymore of them , just makes it harder to go up.

Yes. Fans were turfed out when we had season tickets in block 10. Why not?

Possibly. The likes of Leeds would sell out regardless.
