What has unfolded over night can not be good news for the owners of CCFC can it? Their will be some sort of judicial fall out from Brexit which will effect their ability to appeal to higher EU courts. Does anyone think that these could lead to a faster SEXIT form the club and force their hand to negotiate or leave?

We are still in the EU until we act on article 50 I think it is and then there's 2 years to negotiate, but SISU as could a number of hedge funds may well have other problems re yesterday's decision.

All these pan European treaties and such are a complete morass, you'd have to be totally committed to studying it all to have half a chance of understanding the difference between them.

Quick google and I've found 4 courts, I think the last link is the one that may apply (at least to start with).

Does the law of the time apply in these cases? So, if the law of the land was x in 1970 and the 'act' was committed in 1970 - you are trialled in the present day according to law when the 'act' was committed? Would this apply in this example? Not a clue!

Yes, I would think so.

When there is a change in law, yes the old law applies to the time of the offence. But can you appeal to a higher court for their adjudication, if you no longer come under their jurisdiction? The law might apply but the European Court might not.
