Why I'd be sad (1 Viewer)

if TM went to Rotherham.

I like people, in life and not only football, that follow the advice they give others. TM often gave press conferences where he told players to bide their time when jumping ship or moving on. I hope he listens to himself and stays with us and honours his contract and waits another year. Yes he would get money, a thing he said he is not motivated by, and RUFC are in a higher league but so much can happen in the next year.

He could get us promoted or give us a good year where a 'bigger' club than Rotherham come knocking. If he leaves I will take everything he has preached over the past year as thin air. I will not be celebrating if he stays as that is what I expect from a 'man of his word'.

Is there any word from him at all on the situation with Rotherham or any other team?

TM signed his contract on condition that he alone was in charge of footballing matters including player trading. That all changed once CA arrived. I would be disappointed if TM left but I wouldn't blame him after the way he has been treated.

I want him to stay don't get me wrong but let's say he does leave, he will (presumably) be in the lower half of the Championship in 3 months. If he hung around he will not be in that position for at least 15 months. If he did a good job at Rotherham (what that is is up for debate) this time next season he could be either at a top Championship club or even a PL club. It's not like he'd be leaving because it's Rotherham and he's currently at CCFC, he'd be leaving because it's a Championship club and we're in League One. Also isn't it 100 miles closer to his family?

I would also be sad because I like TM, I was one of his biggest defenders on here when
we hit the wall this last season.
But if its true that he and MV attended interviews at RUFC while under contract to us
(I have no reason to not believe bawtry) then they are obviously not as committed as
they say they are .
We should probably say goodbye now because if we start well this season, he will be
off when the sack race begins , and it will be more unsettling then.

Anderson doesn't get involved in the on the pitch matters. He's a football economist.

Maybe TM went to the board for reassurance and Anderson just gave him a map and a spade and said 'here you go, start digging.'

No but as he's our manager, and he's being linked with another club, it would be
naive to expect nobody to comment on the subject.

I was also one of TM biggest defenders when we had our slump. He is the best man currently for this job. 8th place and highest league finish in many years especially after surviving on the last day the previous season. It was going to go wrong at some point it just went to badly wrong in the end.

After 1 full season we are a lot better now than this time last year and we enter a season with optimism. Sadly the off field stuff still plagues us badly but Watching our team last year and some of those goals and wins were making me proud to be a Cov fan for once. Gillingham being a highlight for me personally.

TM needs to stay. Give him what he wants in my book.

According to a West Brom ST holder, the usually talkative Mowbray went silent when rumours about Celtic did the rounds. Is he being silent now?

I can't see TM leave us to go to Rotherham, they have little money and run a tighter ship than us, and will be relegation fodder next season. At least with us, mowbray is in the middle of a project.

Well he hardly said a word in bed last night. It was just a quick peck on the cheek and then he rolled over and went to sleep.

Maybe he will be more talkative over his Coco Pops this morning.
