I'm now in a Sporting bar. I want Sporting to win league for Victor but Benfica bar better.
Sporting are the wealthy club equivalent to River Plate over Boca Juniors and to Real Madrid v Athletico Madrid. I will put aside my natural preferences to support Viktor !
In Portimao, in a Benfica bar. Going at half time l switch to a Sporting bar. Benfica need to win away tonight to stop Sporting wrapping up Portugese title.
Go Sporting , despite owning a pair of Benfica shorts.
Totally agree, you are making an excellent point. It's not all about direct goals and assists. By being in right place can limit goals conceded and allow others to venture forward or take riskier options.
Positional sense and reading of game is vital in a football team. Only the 'blind' don't...
Good if we could transfer in the Cutlers Arms pub to Coventry It's a great place, quality beer at 3.30 GBP and a music venue too. Only 5 minutes from ground.
I
I agree with you and thought at the time would have been a great addition. He gets some criticism for some reason but I rate as a very good professional player.
We didn't lose the game, we lost a penalty shoot out. In my view also we did actually win the game(short of holding out for about 30 seconds to a minute after we scored the winner that was taken away for some strange reason).
Semantics maybe but we didn't lose the game.
He has improved but hardly been an outstanding success. Had some very good moments but a lot on ineffective games.Who knows what 9m spent elsewhere on strikers would have achieved .
Different opinions but player of the year isn't something I think at all. Saka, Thomas, Milan and Ben , and some...
Not sure if anyone else mentioned it but..
Godden, Kelly, Allen and Bidwell stood together after game and said goodbye to fans. Shocked by Bidwell.
Fadz did as well !
MVE was our man on the match. Strong case for a 10, don't know what more he could of done. Looked top class.
A lot of credit to Fabio and JDS.
Obvious some very good performances by others but I think these three need to be highlighted.
