The Torp injustice at Wembley. Will never get over it, or accept the decision.
Felt really flat after the Crewe 3-0 home semi final defeat, thinking we would never taste glory in my lifetime.
Honourable non City mention for Gazza’s toe not being 1 cm longer at Euro 96.
Good effort from Cov, gutting to come so close to a positive result though.
Haven’t seen any highlights yet, but it seems that Worcester got away with one. Not surprising really, they were never going to be allowed to lose on their big return.
Great post.
The mistakes made when regenerating Coventry is a very long list unfortunately.
Like the 90’s trend of opening out of town retail parks all over the city (including central 6), then wondering why no one shops in the city centre anymore.
Micky Adams signing his mate Andy Impey on a pay as your play deal, then bringing him on for a few minutes every game.
Signing Adam Virgo on the back of him scoring against us.
Dean Gordon being absolutly tortured for pace away at Rochdale in the FA cup. We filled the whole side stand but got...
Every time we’re on Sky we always seem to be the ‘other’ team. They’ll usually have 1 or 2 ex players from the opposition, but rarely anyone from us.
Sunderland and West Brom always seem to be Sky favourites, and we’re just there to make up the numbers 😁
McGinnity was director of a company who made stadium seating. They re-fitted the whole of Highfield Road in the 90’s, so made a nice earner from us.
No idea how he ended up on our board. Was a West Brom fan I think.
Neither Rob or Lorna Bailey handled the fans forum very well at all.
They tried to make it a witch hunt against King, and carried on that narrative throughout despite King answering the questions well.
Think Clive’s days were numbered once Gurney returned to CWR sadly. Been slowly squeezed out.
Loved Gurney back in the 90’s, but haven’t really warmed to him since his return.
