Top Moments in the Footballing Wilderness

Micky Adams signing his mate Andy Impey on a pay as your play deal, then bringing him on for a few minutes every game. Signing Adam Virgo on the back of him scoring against us. Dean Gordon being absolutly tortured for pace away at Rochdale in the FA cup. We filled the whole side stand but got...

Players who we signed but never played in the First Team (or played just one game). Go !

Nuzzo. The 2nd Peruvian we signed in the Strachan years, who never turned up.

    Media darling clubs

They show us a lot. Don’t really get the feeling they love us though. They certainly loved Sunderland a lot more.

    Media darling clubs

Every time we’re on Sky we always seem to be the ‘other’ team. They’ll usually have 1 or 2 ex players from the opposition, but rarely anyone from us. Sunderland and West Brom always seem to be Sky favourites, and we’re just there to make up the numbers 😁

    NBA thread

Not yet. I think they’ll keep running it back with Embiid and an over the hill supporting cast, and remain in mediocrity for the foreseeable future!

    NBA thread

I follow the NBA a fair bit. I like the 76ers though, so this has been a season to forget..

    Peter Reid

McGinnity was director of a company who made stadium seating. They re-fitted the whole of Highfield Road in the 90’s, so made a nice earner from us. No idea how he ended up on our board. Was a West Brom fan I think.

    Clive Eakin on CWR

Neither Rob or Lorna Bailey handled the fans forum very well at all. They tried to make it a witch hunt against King, and carried on that narrative throughout despite King answering the questions well.

    Clive Eakin on CWR

Think Clive’s days were numbered once Gurney returned to CWR sadly. Been slowly squeezed out. Loved Gurney back in the 90’s, but haven’t really warmed to him since his return.

    League One 24/25

I remember Rotherham having a trophy the year they came 2nd to us in league one. Medals is fair enough, but a trophy is bizarre.

Wasps go to bottom of the pyramid

British ice hockey has had its fair share of financial issues, teams going bust and dodgy owners in the past, but it looks like a fairly stable sport compared to rugby union these days. Some EIHL teams are getting bigger crowds than Premiership rugby teams too.

    Cov city centre

They need to flatten Central Six, move those shops into the city centre, and build apartments attractive to young professionals on the site.
