In an ideal Kids under 10 would be free with an adult ticket. Logistics to work out with all seater but doable

We are away supporters half the time.
Not everyone lives near Coventry. How about shift workers who work weekends? Both were me before I left the UK. Home games were over 400 miles round trip. We have a lot of supporters with similar where a ST isn't feasible.
So you say people shouldn't go to the Sunderland game but go to Cat C games if they have children. Don't think I have ever paid £37 for a home league game before. Better prices and we could have sold this game out. Instead we will have thousands of empty seats.
Exactly, so everyone had a chance to buy them if they were on the ball. If they wasn’t just like any other tickets that are great value they will sell out. I suppose it’s Doug’s or the clubs fault isn’t it people couldn’t be arsed to put it in their diary and log in.
It is a catagory A game, if you can’t afford that go to B or C games, the experience will be exactly the same. I want to go on Holiday to the Maldives but I can’t afford it so I go to Lanzarote. Can’t please everyone all the time, give that club some credit for trying to increase revenues across the board so we can have a decent playing squad.
Jesus, we’re fighting for shift workers rights now are we? What’s next cheaper midweek tickets for people who have to work weekends or cheaper tickets for nuns. No one makes people go to football. Just like any other product you can either afford it or you cannot. Cheaper tickets ie season tickets were available and if people were not on the ball to get them then it’s their own fault.

Bad idea and this was a problem last year as tickets were bought but not filled
I think they will start to do some deals once we get into the season so that adult + child becomes cheaper
£75 for a family of 4 for a one off seems reasonable for a cat A and maybe 60 and 50 for other categories
Exactly. I’d be shocked if this wasn’t the case going forward.
Why don’t people let this one play out, see what the final numbers are and whether it’s addressed before we go into full SBT meltdown. For all we know they may have already acknowledged something isn’t right about pricing internally but you can’t change anything a week or so before match
Mistakes will be made. Acknowledging them and addressing them is the most important thing

The A game might be 0-0 the C game 4-0 who knows.
The Maldives is 5k but lanzarote 2k. I can’t afford the Maldives so I’ll have a great time in lanzarote.

Don't understand the category pricing. I'd understand it in the Premier League where the desire to see Man City players would be greater than that to see Bournemouth players, but in the Championship I'd have thought you go to watch your team - it's not like any clubs in the division are going to have must see players anyway. Would make more sense if they had more categories within each fixture - depending on where you were sat in the ground.
Serious re- think on ticketing prices are needed.
They can quote prices all they like. If not acceptable or AFFORDABLE; they won't be purchased.

But your argument for the higher price category A games is a simple case of supply and demand, so you think we will see a significant increase on the 24,000 we had against Middlesbrough then ?
The only thing I can think of is they they've worked out with the A games people will be more likely to go at any cost and they will have big away followings regardless of cost.
About the same crowd but revenue up.

I count 289 tickets left on Sunderland site at the moment. Might be pricey, but if the demand is there (which the Club know it is) it'll sell.

Mackems with unsold tickets 3 days before the fame suggests somethings not right.
If Sunderland sell out of course it would be.
We all know what football is deep down. It is a journey for everyone and the consumer pays for it and the club manage it unless we have a sugar daddy. I’m not sure what more the club could have done when they did season tickets at £50.

The Middlesbrough game was 12o/c kick off on Sunday and live on Sky, against Sunderland 3pm Saturday, there should be a significant increase in attendance, if this isn’t the case…..something is wrong.

On the other hand, Middlesbrough was the first home match following a highly successful season including a Wembley appearance, and an exciting transfer window so far. All that might have been expected to offset the attendance suppressing factors you have implied. May be matching that attendance won’t be quite as poor as you are suggesting, and isn’t there industrial action on the trains this weekend also?
