Promoted: Southampton, Leicester
Play offs: Leeds, Boro, Millwall, Coventry
POW: Coventry
Relegated: QPR, Rotherham, Sheff Wed

New season is nearly upon us and I can’t wait.. think if our new signings can hit the ground running, we can have a strong season again.. but it’s going to be tight!

What does everyone else think?

Can’t see Southampton getting promoted. They have the air of a club in free fall and have done for a few seasons, I fully expect them to do a Stoke. Can see Sunderland making the playoffs. I think you’re about right other than that though.

Yep and I predicted in another thread we’ll beat Sunderland in the final
I don’t see Sunderland doing anywhere near as well this year myself

Diallo and Michut gone, Stewart stalling on a new deal - pinning a lot of their hopes on young lads from Europe

I think Mowbray will get found out again and be gone by Christmas as well

If the new signings are as good as i hope and if Hamer stays, i'm saying 5th again for us (a lot of ifs there i realise.) Unfortunately think we'd lose in play offs again, for me what has come down is significantly better than what went up. Luton and even Sheffield Utd in 2nd were very mediocre promoted teams and i see them finishing as the bottom 2 in the Prem this season.

Again, I don’t see Boro doing as well this season either

Reckon Akpom will be a one season wonder, Giles, Archer and Ramsey not going back - a lot of goals going to be missing from their side

Birmingham and Stoke will be top half

Wednesday, QPR, Rotherham to drop for me

When we actually get a left footed centre half, right wing back and striker in il do the rest of the table. For now? Id say around 17th depths atrocious

Too confident in this thread. Hope we lose the first few and get back to doom and gloom.

Yeah I don't get the love for Boro or Carrick
They were very good last season but have lost a lot of players
And Carrick got schooled by MR in the playoffs

I can see Blackburn and Norwich struggling out of the 'bigger' sides.

Think Plymouth and Ipswich will stay up

Credit to him for turning them round last season but Carrick got his tactics wrong when it mattered most last season - He is still learning on the job though so will come with the territory

But I don’t think they’ll be anywhere near Top 2 as it stands

Sporting Life tip Simms for top scorer @ 25/1

Simms scored seven times on loan at Sunderland last season from an xG of 4.9, generating a goals per 90 average of 0.55, underpinning his clinical nature and consistency. The Black Cats' autumnal dip in form coincided with his and strike partner Ross Stewart's injuries. Simms has also bagged north of the border, scoring seven in 21 appearances for Hearts.

Filling the void left by a certain Swede could burden the youngster but if he can cope with that psychological pressure, there is a lot to get excited about.

Victor Gyokeres’ 21 goals was the second highest tally in the division last season but those goals equated to 36% of the Sky Blues' 58 goals. Gus Hamer was the side's second-highest scorer with 11.

Mark Robins gears up his side to create chances for their spearhead and Simms has already proved he can put them away. So, barring injury, he should get a hatful next campaign.

If anyone can find a double of Cov to finish top 6 and Simms top scorer let me know. SkyBet won’t price it and can’t find it on other sites.
