Pretty much in full control. Look even more out of ideas than usual.

Almost like we've got too much time on the ball, resulting in taking too long thinking about the next move

Then add in that headless chicken they've bought on, can't believe we're not being sharper.

Hoping we're saving energy for the 2nd half.

It is but need to mix it up a bit. Few times Sheaf has been begging for the ball and Fadz hasn't even looked up. The possession is very sterile. Only Sheaf in this team that is looking to play a quick clever progressive pass.

Fair. I actually think Shipley has been pretty good as well tbf.

Look tidy in possession, can see we are technically superior to this Cardiff team. That being said we have created next to nothing and Cardiff have looked pretty solid at the back.

Would rather we were more untidy in possession and tried to create some actual chances.

Missing Hamer?

Good, solid half. Really like our press and forcing them back. We’ve played nice football but too safe. Completely toothless up top.
Need to drop a few side passes and increase forward passes.
Same scenario, dominating but doing nothing in front of goal yet we could be 1-0 down on chances.

Thought we looked comfortable TBH after the first few minutes. They’re playing like an away team sitting deep and hoping to hit us on the break. Need a bit more dynamism on, I don’t think Shipley’s been that bad but I’d like to see any of Maatsen, Waghorn or Jones to try and break them down a bit.

This feels like it’s heading for 0-0.

Our marking at set pieces is asking for trouble though. Bidwell on Flint and then Rose just letting Flint have a free header in the box as well.

Boring first half hope it picks up second half and we create some clear cut chances, and finish them.

Three fucking stonewall penalties denied in five seconds though, got to be some kind of record.

Mcsheffrey scored 44 goals in 143 appearances. You can't compare the players remotely.

no as he was a striker / left winger and penalty taker - how many times did you see him play and who of the two is the best player?

Shipley has played a couple of very good balls behind their defence that could have created something. Would like Allen, O'Hare whoever to try and run at them on the edge of the box. Shame Hugill has come on. Hope Ikpeazu stays on the bench.

If you are trying to suggest for one moment that Callum O´Hare is currently better than Gary McSheffery in his prime then you need to get your nurse to up the dosage on whatever medication she usually gives you.

Can see them scoring from a corner or free kick why didn't Allen shoot when the ball was slipped to him.

Just read through first half comments. Can't believe anyone could think that second challenge on O'Hare wasn't a penalty
