Has started with Netherlands vs Norway, 0-0 so far.
There are 16 teams (a sensible number!) with England, Scotland, Portugal and Spain in group D.

Here are England's and Scotland's fixtures:
England's Group D fixtures: Scotland (19 July), Spain (23 July), Portugal (27 July).
Scotland Group D fixtures: England (19 July), Portugal (23 July), Spain (27 July).

I'd love to watch this tournament but it's not televised where I live.

I found it on a channel called UDN with Spanish commentary. However, they seem to show only one game per day.
Currently showing Germany vs Sweden.

By the way, if you haven't watched women's football in a while, you are missing a real treat.
The quality of the teams has progressed enormously over the past few years.
Their skill, pace and power is very impressive.
And there is far less play-acting and diving etc. in the women's game.

Watching France vs Iceland at the moment. A great game so far.
The Iceland player's names barely fit on the back of their shirts.

Watched part of Spain vs Portugal but England vs Scotland not being shown.
Can't find anywhere live streaming it and that's the game I really wanted to see.

It's on Channel 4terrestrial over here
The Scotland goalie for England's second goal was hilarious.
Currently 3-0 HT.

Although I won't watch it it's very good to have it on normal tv and it's a shame that some men's games can't make it on even league two ones, they could get the money by getting rid of Shearer and that jug eared twat on motd

Some well taken goals from England.
Considering its the Euros I'd have expected a bigger crowd. Both ends behind the goal empty. Not as popular as it's made out to be.

Attendance was 5578. Not brilliant but it was in the Netherlands.
The Netherlands vs Norway game drew over 21,700 which is not bad.

Someone please just let me know when Sweden get knocked out :).
They beat Russia today 2-0. They are one of the strongest teams with probably the best coach.
I'm watching Italy vs Germany now, and I'll be rooting for Italy.

Can't find anyone televising the England women's game.
The Spanish channel that usually show the tournament is instead showing the Mexico CONCACAF Gold cup men's game.
Which is annoying because that game is on half a dozen different channels.

BBC says England denied a good goal for offside.

Good result - couple of good goals and the odd one disallowed - thought they shut them down well even with little possession - second goal was excellent play - top of the league but we all know what good qualifying means !

Cancelled out by that bizarre penalty incident. No idea what the ref was doing there.
It was bizarre for sure, but I am very much of the opinion that accidental handball is accidental handball.

I honestly think that it should only be deliberate handball that is punishable. There obviously are cases where people have their hands up which could then be described as deliberate, but that one tonight you could say with 100% certainty that there is no way she meant to do that or there was any degree of deliberateness about it.

Bottom line is though that we know that 99.9% of handballs like that tonight WOULD be given.

Word is now according to the Beeb that the ref changed her mind because she accepted it as being accidental.

Still doesn't make sense though. If you see it as accidental then you see it as accidental from the off don't you? Why give the penalty in the first place if you think it is accidental and you wouldn't just listen to the word of the players.

Someone shouting down her earpiece perhaps?

Women have always been allowed to change their mind.

Some people on twitter were saying a replay was shown on the screens at the ground and she changed her mind after that. Don't know if that's true or not.

The handball rule does need looking at. Either make it all handballs, accidental or not, or be clearer on what counts as deliberate.

Yep.

At the moment you have everyone screaming (pundits included) when a ball is blasted at someone from very close range and hits the hand.

It surely has to be deliberate handball!! Someone who sticks their hand out deliberately to stop the ball.

Last night that was clearly an accident. Nowt deliberate about it.

Saw Italy beat Sweden yesterday. Italy have been unlucky in their previous games, but in this game they had three chances and scored three goals. Brilliant finishing.

England and Scotland both currently winning, Scotland need another goal without reply to quality (providing England win)

Not a bad attempt by the Porgues - but England strong and they don't give up - none of that faking injury rubbish that you get with the prem - a few 6 packs in there - sorry for the jocks tho - oh may be not

I'm really enjoying this tournament, a lot of England players would have got in our team last season. perhaps we should have tried disguising them and giving them a go, with a short hair cut and a tight fitting torso vest they could have played and no one would have known.
Anyway tough game coming up against the frogs, but I'm confident the girls will not do what the boys do everytime and bottle it

I like the way they get stuck in and don't roll around like they've been shot.
A bit of gamesmanship is creeping into the game though.

Oh the other aspect is they play differently when not in tourney mode, the skills and technique /flair are more evident then.

Both teams equally good but Netherlands took their chances and Sweden didn't.
That's why good strikers are worth their weight in gold.
