just lately my pc has been runnin at snails pace.

i think it is my sister downloadin stuff off limewire which is slowin it down

how can i speed it up? the guy at pc world sed they wud need to wipe it and start agen?

if on windows xp click start your see the run box type prefetch when that folder opens hold down the ctrl and (a) botton then delete whats in the folder,your pc might run a bit better,

on vista click start your see start search type in that box prefetch then press enter when the folder opens delete whats inside it

click start then click my computor then right click on local drive then click properties then click disk clean

if thay dont work do a full antivirus scan in safe mode limewire is full of crap i never use that i us bitlord

malware or spyware problems down load spybot and if you can down load windows defender from microsoft

Most "All-Purpose" malware apps such as AVG, Norton, Spybot etc unforturnatly can not remove this vile pest called Smitfraud.

Yeah Smitfraud is great.

I usually run Spybot after I have run that to see if there are others there that need removing.

Run scans of these as said and it should speed it up no end

just finshed work on my mates pc,,talk about running slow turned out he had 370 virues and 270malware problems thats what happens when you dont use a anti virus with limewire,

That is a fair bit of spyware to be honest!

Is he using Limewire Pro? Make sure he has an Auto Protect AV Software now

i removed limewire of his pc and set up bitlord on his pc also put norton 360.
